2022 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan Overview

Jetta has long been the benchmark for what a dynamic little sedan can offer. This car is ideal for daily commuting thanks to its excellent fuel economy. Even though the 2020 Volkswagen Jetta hasn’t seen many changes, it’s still a great option for a wide range of drivers.

The 2022 Jetta will include a few notable upgrades, so keep an eye out for them. A new set of two-tone 16-inch wheels is now available for the entry-level S model. The SE model now comprises six power-adjustments for the front passenger’s seat. Volkswagen’s MIB3 multimedia system is finally being rolled out to the SEL for the first time.

The 2022 Jetta’s basic infotainment system is comparable to the remainder of the class’s offerings. Apple CarPlay, Android, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot are all included, as is a 6.5-inch touchscreen for easy navigation. To aid with connectivity, the tablet has two Ports and Bluetooth.

Some of the most advanced technological aspects can be found here. Connected device charging, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a 10.25-inch electronic instrument cluster are among the features that will be offered. Android Drive and Apple CarPlay wireless versions are also available for purchase. In addition to HD and satellite radio, an eight-speaker BeatsAudio system is available.

147 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque are generated by the turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.4L engine that powers the majority of the 2022 Jetta. If you’re looking for extra power, you’ll want to check out the Jetta GLI. Meanwhile, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque to these versions.

Manual transmissions are standard on entry-level vehicles with either engine. If you want an eight-speed automatic transmission, you’ll have to upgrade to a GLI model. Front-wheel drive is standard on all variants.

The 2022 Jetta’s base model is the S. An adequate amount of advanced features are provided but little else. As a result of upgrading to SE, the Jetta’s heated front seats are now available, as well as a double automatic climate control with power-adjustable driver’s seat. The R-Line has the same characteristics, but with a more sporty interior and exterior design.

A warmed steering wheel and heated rear seats are also included in the Jetta SEL’s list of standard features, as well as most of the other tech upgrades. The leather inside, GPS, and sport seats up front round out the SEL Premium’s features list. Memory settings for the driver’s seat are also provided.

Only the S and S options are available for the GLI vehicles. Some basic driving aids are included in the GLI S, which comes with more standard kit than the ordinary S trim. The SEL Premium is the base model for the Autobahn, which adds an adaptive suspension as an option.

You can’t go wrong with any of the new 2022 Volkswagen Jetta variants. Take a test drive in one today.

The Jetta’s attractive look has held up well over the years. Despite a boxy appearance, this car nonetheless manages to look contemporary. The R-Line equipment level is recommended for those who want their vehicle to stand out from the crowd, thanks to its unique grille and bumpers, as well as its black mirror caps.

Despite its modest size, Jetta’s cabin is spacious enough to be both functional and comfortable. There isn’t any automobile in this class with as much room in the front and second row as the Honda Accord. Additionally, Jetta’s trunk has a capacity of 14.1 cubic feet, which is a noteworthy feature.

The 1.4L turbocharged engine in a basic Jetta gives excellent fuel economy. Drivers can expect a city fuel economy of 30 mpg and a highway fuel economy of 40 mpg. This holds true for either of the two transmission options accessible to you. Even with a manual transmission, the Jetta GLI can get 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg highway. The Jetta’s highway fuel economy reduces to 32mpg when using the automatic transmission and a more powerful engine.

In addition to a rearview camera, the 2022 Jetta comes with only one other standard driving aid. Nevertheless, the NHTSA gave the car a perfect score of 5 stars for overall crash safety. The Jetta scored five stars in frontal crash tests, but only four stars in side impact and rollover tests.

Of course, if you’re looking for a Jetta that has the latest in driver assistance technology, this is available now. The SE variant includes additional features such as blind-spot monitoring and front collision warning. With the 2022 Jetta, the SEL package will also include rain-sensitive windshield wipers and automated high-beams.
