What makes it easy to recommend is that it does not force you to choose between luxury and usefulness as sharply as some rivals do. That balance is what keeps the Q7 relevant. It may not be the boldest choice in the segment, but it remains one of the more complete ones.

What’s New?

The 2026 update adds useful equipment. The new Vision package includes HD Matrix-design LED headlights, Audi laser light, headlight washers, and night vision assist. The Sport Plus package for the Q7 55 adds sport-adaptive air suspension, red interior accents, and unique wheels and trim for a sportier feel.

This model isn’t just powerful; it’s enjoyable to drive. It could seem massive, but despite its size, it handles curves well thanks to its adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering. For 2026, the ride is smoother and more confident, with adaptive air suspension now standard on Premium Plus.

Fuel Economy

You can say it is good, though not exceptional. The turbo four-cylinder gets 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The V6 delivers 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on highways. The four-cylinder is a bit more efficient, while the V6 delivers more power.

For most, the four-cylinder would be the smart move, making the Q7 practical for daily use, family trips, commuting, or weekend outings. Choose the V6 if you need extra power or plan to tow heavier loads.

Safety Features

The 2026 Audi Q7 stands out in this regard. With a 5-star NHTSA overall safety rating, and 2025-26 IIHS tests show strong crash-avoidance. It earned a Good rating for child-seat anchors and an Acceptable rating for pedestrian crash prevention with the standard Pre sense front.

Standard features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, Pre sense front automatic emergency braking, plus available upgrades like a 360-degree camera and advanced parking tech. Safety features are included in all trims, not just the top ones.

Cargo and Towing Capacity

This model offers up to 69.6 cubic feet of cargo with the second and third rows folded. With all seats up, about 13.6 cubic feet remain behind the third row, enough for errands, but limited with all seats filled.

The 2026 Audi Q7 is strong for towing. With the trailer hitch, the Q7 45 tows up to 4,400 pounds. The Q7 55 tows up to 7,700 pounds, enough for trailers, boats, or campers.

Price and How to Choose

The 2026 Audi Q7 starts at $62,000 for the Q7 45 TFSI Premium, before destination fees. Prices rise quickly with higher trims and options, especially for Premium Plus, Prestige, or fully loaded Q7 55 models.

The 45 Premium trim with the Convenience Plus package strikes a good balance between features and price. It adds comfort, camera, and audio benefits most want without much added cost. The V6 trim could be a good fit if you need more towing capacity or quicker acceleration; the four-cylinder suits most needs and offers better value.
