The 2023 BMW XM Label Red is currently signed up for an exhibition run at the 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The powerful XM will be driven by Matt Mullins, the head instructor at BMW’s Performance Driving School. The XM Label Red, a plug-in hybrid SUV with 735 hp and a starting price of $185,995, will go on sale later this year. Even though the 2023 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a long way away, we might be looking forward to it. Before the 101st iteration of the event, which will take place on June 25, the organizers have made public a preliminary list of 74 participants. Even though the full lineup was decided closer to the race, the 735-hp BMW XM Label Red stood out. That’s right. According to early plans, BMW’s upcoming plug-in hybrid SUV with the most power will do a test run at Pikes Peak this year. Matt Mullins will drive the Label Red for the first time on Pikes Peak. Mullins is currently in charge of the driving instructors at the BMW Performance Driving School. Most likely, he’ll wear the number 735 to honor the critical members of Label Red. The XM will only make a full-on attack on time, which would be exciting. At Pikes Peak, the PHEV When you think of exciting hill-climb cars, an SUV with a plug-in hybrid engine probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. The XM, on the other hand, is more about performance than its shape and drivetrain might suggest. The standard XM has a torque of 590 pound-feet and a horsepower of 644. Those numbers are perfect for a BMW with the M badge, and this isn’t even the most powerful model. The limited-edition Label Red wins this battle because it has 735 horsepower and 735 pound-feet of torque. It will be the most powerful BMW ever made when it comes out. The regular 2023 XM will start at $159,995, and the Label Red will begin at $185,995 when they go on sale this spring. The First Step The few pictures of the XM that BMW has already shown have been met with various reactions. Even though our Car and Driver crew has different ideas about how it looks, most agree that it could be a better sight. The standard model’s trim is gold, but the frame is red on the Label Red. Putting lipstick on a pig is an excellent way to describe the result. When we asked why they chose to enter the XM Label Red at Pikes Peak, a BMW representative said the company had put in a provisional entry before the deadline. We were also told that XM still needed to decide if it would participate.
