Street trucks were popular in the 1990s and 2000s and will continue to be popular in 2023. From 2021 to 2023, Ford Performance will put the FP700 pack on Ford F-150s to show that off-roaders and street drivers can live together. The most important thing to know is that it can only be put on cars with a 5.0-liter V8, and a 3.0-liter Whipple blower boosts power to 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Yowza. Even better, Ford will put this package on a single, extended, or crew cab. They can also have four-wheel or rear-wheel drive, which gives you many options for how you want them to work. The 8-foot bed and the ProPower Onboard portable inverter are not included. However, the FP700 suits most F-150 trims, including the XL, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum. Ford gives the package two different looks: the Bronze Edition and the Black Edition. Standard features include a Whipple blower, a rear lowering kit, carpeted floor mats from Ford Performance, 22-by-9.5-inch wheels, painted writing on the tailgate, and a black grille. Which color stands out most in each? No matter what kind of tires they have, that much power will quickly tear them apart. You can get a sport exhaust with a side exit, a tailgate spoiler, and other add-ons from Ford Performance-approved shops. It should be against the law not to have a side pipe, but that’s my opinion. I don’t like the wheels; I’d rather have a stronger sidewall and maybe less tread for better grip. People say, “This is what the new Lightning should’ve been!” You might be right; you never know. I miss the old cars as well. This FP700 pack, on the other hand, turns your car into a new throwback-style Lightning and comes with protection that lasts for three years or 36,000 miles. Because everything meets CARB standards, you can drive a brand-new F-150 that has been boosted to the sky for $12,350 plus the cost of a car, no matter where you live.
