Ram is back in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series after not supporting the series as a manufacturer in 2012. A new 1500 concept race truck was showcased, offering a glimpse of the brand’s racing vehicle. The first Ram will be sold in the Craftsman class in 2026. Ram is going to race again. A truck manufacturer that hasn’t been in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in over ten years announced today that it will return. In February, it was reported that the brand might return to the show, but this is the first public confirmation of its return. When Ram joins the grid for the 2026 season, we won’t have to wait long to see its fast cars on the track. The company that manufactures pickup trucks has provided factory support to NASCAR for the first time since 2012, and after a nine-year hiatus, a Ram will participate in the series. During the introduction, Ram also showed a concept version of their race truck. This way, we won’t have to wait until the 2026 season to see how it will look. The low-slung pickup resembles a Craftsman rival after the Ram 1500’s front end was modified. Ram’s CEO, Tim Kuniskis, stated that customers and sellers have been inquiring about returns for over ten years. “The desire was always there, but we didn’t have a plan that delivered the last tenth, and following just didn’t fit our DNA,” Kuniskis says. “We now have a strong strategy that will distinguish us from the competition and generate renewed excitement and involvement in American motorsport. With Ram rejoining the series, all four major manufacturers Chevrolet, Ford, Ram, and Toyota will be competing in the Craftsman Series.
