A new fleet order form indicates that Chevrolet has quietly discontinued production of the Blazer EV with rear-wheel drive. Previously, the only model level with a rear-drive layout was the RS. The Blazer EV RS will come with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive in 2026. The Chevy Blazer EV lineup isn’t very clear. In 2025, there was only one type that came with front-, rear-, or all-wheel drive. Not any longer. The new order form on the General Motors fleet website states that Chevy will discontinue making the rear-drive version in 2026. The RWD Blazer EV was only available in the RS trim level for its one-year run, but it was also offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The RS level will still offer powertrain configuration choices until 2026, but these will be limited to two types: FWD or AWD. Front-drive cars had only one 220-hp electric motor, while rear-drive cars featured a much more powerful 365-hp motor for the rear axle. The Blazer EV RS was only available for one model year, but we were able to test drive one and found it to be very active. In 2026, the Blazer range gets some cosmetic changes. The two-tone roof is gone, and the Iridescent Pearl Tricoat color is replaced with Polar White Tricoat. The RWD model has also been removed from the lineup. There is also a new version called Tech Bronze, which features 22-inch bronze wheels and numerous black stickers on the exterior. At the time this report was released, Invoice-Pricing had still not heard back from Chevy regarding the setup change. We’ll make changes to this story as soon as we receive a response.
