• Ford Racing is set to unveil a brand-new road car on January 15.
  • Mark Rushbrook of Ford Racing hinted at a new sports car, but Ford hasn’t made any official announcement yet.
  • The reveal will take place at Ford’s first race of the 2026 racing season, which will also mark the debut of Red Bull’s 2026 Formula 1 car.

Even though we’re still buzzing from the excitement of the Mustang GTD’s release, Ford seems ready to give us more track-ready performance. The Blue Oval brand says that the newly renamed Ford Racing business will make an “all-new” road car. Ford will make the news on January 15 as part of a bigger event to honor the 2026 racing season. At the same event, Red Bull will showcase its 2026 Formula One car.

Ford Will Show Off A Strange New Sports Car That Can Be Driven On The Road In January

We don’t know what Ford is working on, but based on what Mark Rushbrook, the head of Ford Racing, has said, it will be a new racing car. Rushbrook, representing Ford, stated that the new model serves as “a reflection of how extensively we’re incorporating our racing innovations into the everyday vehicles our customers drive.” He said that big steps forward are being made on the tracks and that the results will be found “under the hood and chassis of your next Ford.”

Even though regular production of the Ford GT stopped in 2022, many special versions have been made since then. This could mean the company is preparing to replace them. The Mustang GT500 might come back, but the word “all-new” makes it sound like it won’t. The new car may turn into a pickup truck. Based on the company’s Dakar Rally truck, Rushbrook and Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford, have hinted at a Ford Ranger Raptor with 1000 horsepower. No matter what type it is, we can’t wait to find out more about it and, most importantly, drive it.
