The BMW M5 Touring presently represents approximately half of all orders, while the M5 sedan constitutes the remaining 50 percent. In a chat with BMW Blog, Sylvia Neubauer, a manager at BMW M, talked about the manufacturing split. While BMW station wagon fans will be happy, Neubauer has said that the M3 Touring will not be sold in the United States. Even though there isn’t often a station wagon version of the M5, BMW usually markets the M5 as the best car. In fact, you can buy the BMW M5 Touring Wagon in the US for the G90/G99 model, which came out last year. An official from BMW M says that the longroof M5 has done very well so far, even though it might seem like a cute way to get people interested in the next generation. As reported by BMW Blog, Sylvia Neubauer, vice president of customer, brand, and sales for BMW M, said that the new M5 can now be bought as both a car and a wagon. According to her, BMW has made more of all body styles, but because demand is so high, even more Touring cars have been made. Even though the goal was to make two times as many sedans as wagons, more than half of the cars being made right now are wagons. Although it was shocking, it was a good surprise. Before this, BMW didn’t bother to sell the M5 with five doors in the US, and since the E60/E61 generation in the late 2000s, no M5 Touring had been made. Americans could previously buy a few from Mercedes-AMG and an Audi five-door supercar, but now they have their own M5 Touring to choose from. Demand has gone through the roof. Even though the M5 wagon is very famous around the world, that doesn’t mean that the M3 version will be here soon. Neubauer told BMW Blog in the same interview that the current M3 Touring will never be sold in the US: some wins and some losses.
