Hennessey has revealed an even more outrageous iteration of the Venom F5, now named the Evolution. Hennessey says that the Venom F5 Evolution adds 214 horsepower to the original’s power, making a total of 2031 horsepower. The company that makes the Evolution says it can go from 0 to 200 mph in 10.3 seconds with more power and better handling. As you drive faster and faster, your tolerance for speed should change because it’s supposed to become a habit. We can’t think of a situation where 1817 horsepower wouldn’t be enough, but we might have a low tolerance level because, according to the company, that’s what Hennessey’s customers thought. Hennessey hasn’t made 30 of its Venom F5 supercars yet, but the company says that some buyers want even more power than the car can give them. The Hennessey Venom F5 Evolution’s base form has 2,031 more horsepower than the Evolution. The car company says that two Precision 76/80 Next Gen turbochargers, the world’s biggest mirror-image turbos, give the car an extra 214 horsepower. They power the 6.6-liter V-8 engine in the Hennessey. Next is the force. A full 1445 pound-feet are made at 5200 rpm. Around 5100, you should check your seatbelt again. Hennessey changed more than just the engine. Mark Handford, an aerodynamicist who works in Formula One and IndyCar, and the car’s manufacturer looked over the whole aerodynamic design of the car. The final result features new dive planes and wake deflectors, a redesigned Gurney lip on the rear decklid, a completely updated front splitter, and a newly engineered underbody. The improved aerodynamics are matched by a similarly changed suspension system. The adjustable dampers were made to work with all five of the Evo’s drive modes. The package costs a huge $285,000 on top of the F5’s base price of $3 million. It’s open to both new F5 sales and people who already have an account. If you want to spend more money, there is an extra driving package with different exhausts and more comfortable seats.
