The Lucid Air really gets our attention. Every type of electric luxury car is great to us, from the top-of-the-line Sapphire with 1234 horsepower to the rear-drive Pure with 430 horsepower that made our 2024 10Best list. Now that the base price has dropped by $1,000 to $8,000, there’s even more reason to like the Lucid Air.

In 2024, Lucid Air Base costs $8000 instead of $1000

The price of the mid-level Air Touring model has gone down the most (more on that later), but what really excites us is the new base price of the entry-level Pure. This is because the price of the rear-wheel-drive version has gone down by $7,500. It is now $71,400.

The company says that the new price is “as Lucid originally conceived.” Lucid also sells the $2950 Stealth look kit for the Pure. Before, the upgrade was only offered on trims that cost more.

When you go back to the Touring trim from before, the base price has gone down by $8000. It now starts at $79,400, which is only $500 more than the Pure’s starting price. All-wheel drive is made possible by adding a second electric motors to the Touring type, which raises the output from 430 horsepower to 620 horsepower.

The Grand Touring with 1050 hp now costs $111,400, which is $1000 less than it did before. The most expensive model, the Sapphire, which costs $250,500 and is a lot more than the other Air models, is staying the same.
