In 2026, Toyota Will Paint The Tundra And Sequoia An Eye-Catching Blue Color

The two biggest cars made by Toyota need to be updated after being on the market for a few years. The Tundra pickup and Sequoia SUV both continue to offer powerful electric drivetrains along with rugged TRD Pro off-road variants. For the 2026 model year, both full-size Toyotas receive new colors on the outside and inside, as well as additional standard and optional features. However, Toyota keeps the big, chunky look.

The most noticeable change for 2026 is the introduction of Wave Maker, a new exterior paint color. Pickups and trucks are now available in this striking blue color, but only in the TRD Pro trim level. Both cars now feature new interiors, thanks to the luxurious Capstone option, which includes Shale luxury leather-trimmed seats with a brown stripe down the middle. The Limited grade also features seats finished in leather. The leather is available in black with white stitching or gray with black stitching.

Additionally, both the Sequoia and the Tundra have improved tools compared to their previous versions. All Sequoia models now come with third-row seats that can be automatically folded down. The Tundra TRD Pro, which is currently available only with a hybrid engine, can now be equipped with IsoDynamic seats that resemble those found in the Tacoma TRD Pro. We noticed that these seats almost took away the Tacoma’s space, turning the four-door car into a two-seater. This is despite the fact that they help keep the seats from moving around when the vehicle is off-road. This set of seats has shock absorbers built right in. Because the Tundra is bigger, this might not be a problem.

Power running boards are now standard on Toyota’s Platinum and 1794 TRD Off-Road models. The SX package now comes with new 20-inch wheels. Tundras with single-zone climate control come with the SmartFlow management system, also known as “S-Flow,” which only sends air to the seats that are in use. Crew-cab models also have air vents on the center console in the back.

All full-size Toyota trucks now come standard with a 32.2-gallon gas tank. This replaces the smaller 22.5-gallon Tundra tank that was standard on the SR and SR5. Now, all Tundras come with either a four- or seven-pin connection and a trailer hitch.

Although Toyota hasn’t announced the pricing or exact release date for the 2026 models, it’s expected that the 2026 Tundra and Sequoia will arrive before the end of the year. The base prices for the Tundra and Sequoia are expected to remain approximately the same, at $42,185 and $64,520, respectively.
