• At The Quail during Monterey Car Week, Infiniti will show off a QX65 Monograph Concept along with new QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec cars.
  • The next mid-size crossover car from Infiniti should look like the concept QX65 Monograph when it comes to production.
  • The QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec models are also on display. These are likely based on the Nissan Armada NISMO and Armada Pro-4X, respectively.

During the well-known Monterey Car Week, Infiniti will show off a new concept car called the QX65 Monograph, as well as new versions of the full-size QX80 SUV called Track Spec and Terrain Spec. The production version of Infiniti’s upcoming coupe-style mid-size crossover, the QX65, will closely resemble the concept model.

Infiniti Will Unveil Two New Versions Of The QX80, Along With A Sleek Concept QX65 Book

Infiniti first hinted at the QX65 in a 2023 blurry teaser image that came out before the Tokyo car show. The initial image of the QX65 didn’t reveal many details, but it did highlight its sloping roofline, reminiscent of past coupe-style mid-size SUVs such as the Audi Q8 and Genesis GV80 Coupe.

Unfortunately, the new image only reveals a portion of the concept’s front end. However, when the QX65 Monograph concept is shown off, it should give us a better idea of how the real car will look. The updated QX80 SUV that was made looked a lot like the one that Infiniti showed off at the Quail in 2023 when they unveiled the QX Monograph concept. The QX65 will not be any different.

Even though we don’t know what the QX65’s body will look like yet, it will be functionally similar to the more traditional-looking QX60 mid-size SUV. The 268-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the QX65 will probably be built on the chassis of that model.

After showing off the concept, Infiniti may talk more about the production version of the QX65. It should be offered in the US as early as the 2027 model year.

Along with the QX65 Monograph idea, Infiniti also plans to release the QX80 Track Spec and the QX80 Terrain Spec.

With its bold styling and performance-focused upgrades, the Nissan Armada NISMO is likely to have a lot in common with the QX80 Track Spec. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine in the Armada NISMO has 460 horsepower. It has been rearranged, and the valve openings have been changed. Besides having more power, the NISMO may be better for the QX80 Track Spec because it has better handling and air suspension. The teasing picture shows a small chin spoiler, which means the QX80 Track Spec will have more aggressive bodywork than the regular QX80.

The QX80 Terrain Spec is designed for off-road enthusiasts, as its name suggests. It is likely to be built on the Nissan Armada Pro-4X. It is thought that the Terrain Spec has all-wheel drive, height-adjustable air suspension, an automatic locking rear differential, and all-terrain tires. The dark sample picture shows a storage box, a metal skid plate, and a horizontal light bar attached to the roof. These are all tough extras.

Infiniti calls the new versions of the QX80 “design exercises” for now, but if enough people want them, they could be made into real cars.
