Mazda has changed the CX-70 Hybrid range for 2026. The Premium and Premium Plus models have been replaced by the SC and SC Plus trim levels. It costs more than $10,000 less than the 2025 Premium to buy the CX-70 Hybrid SC, which starts at $45,780. On the other hand, the non-hybrid CX-70 now starts at $43,780, representing a significant increase. For the 2025 model year, Mazda introduced the CX-70, which resembles the CX-90 but features one fewer row of seats. Mazda has fully redesigned its plug-in hybrid models and lowered their prices by more than $10,000. However, after only one year, the company is also making some minor adjustments to its appearance. In 2026, the non-hybrid CX-70 will be slightly more expensive. It features a 3.3-liter inline-six turbocharged engine that produces 280 horsepower as standard. The base Preferred trim now costs $43,780, which is $1,805 more than it did previously. The Premium and Premium Plus trims are priced almost the same, at $47,810 and $51,100, respectively. There is also an “S” version of the six-cylinder engine, which is more powerful, producing 340 horsepower. The 2026 CX-70 S Premium starts at $54,770, and the 2026 CX-70 S Premium Plus starts at $58,200. The CX-70 Hybrid has undergone a complete redesign. In 2025, the SC and SC Plus trims replaced the Premium and Premium Plus models. The good news is that these trim levels cost significantly less, but we’re unsure what SC stands for, as we’ve attempted to contact Mazda but haven’t received a response yet. The SC costs $48,780, and the SC Plus costs $45,780. The base prices for the 2025 CX-70 Hybrid’s Premium and Premium Plus trims were $55,930 and $58,980, respectively. That is more than $10,000 less. Mazda says that the 2026 hybrid vehicles’ EPA-estimated electric-only range has increased by four to thirty miles, and the SUV now has an EV drive mode. The cars are also cheaper. The SC model comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a power liftgate, and leatherette seats. The driver’s seat is eight-way power-adjustable, and the seat back supports your lower back. The SC Plus package includes real leather seating, an eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. A few minor changes have been made to the non-hybrid CX-70’s equipment, and all CX-70 Models now feature black exterior badges. In 2026, Mazda made the base Preferred model come with eight-way power-adjustable front seats, heated back seats, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The driver’s seat also features a memory function for two positions and power-adjustable back support. On the other hand, the Premium model features side mirrors that automatically fold and dim, a power liftgate that can be operated without using your hands, and a new towing drive mode.
