The Lightning Lap of 2023 has come, and we know you’re worried. Why did some of the cars fail the test? In three days, how many times do we use it? Why is the coffee Carlos Lago makes with a pour-over the best? This Wednesday, February 8, we’ll be on Reddit to answer all your important questions, including about the minivan.

Our next Ask Me Anything (AMA) will start in the r/cars community on Reddit on Wednesday at noon ET. Since there has already been a great deal of discussion regarding Lightning Lap 16, we would like to provide you with all the information required to be added to the feature. You can expect some friendly ribbing about the Pirelli Trofeo R tires on the RS3, the mental cost of getting the best lap time, and why you think you can beat Jack Fitzgerald’s time on foot even though you haven’t run since high school cross country.

During the AMA, Tony Quiroga, K.C. Colwell (executive editor), Dave VanderWerp (testing director), David Beard, Dan Edmunds, and Carlos Lago (deputy editor for video) will be available to answer questions.

Greetings, if this is your first Lightning Lap. This is the 16th time the race has been held on the 4.1-mile Grand Course at Virginia International Raceway. Everything is tested, from how to turn and stop to whether the shift knob will come loose in the middle of a lap. It’s a real test of how well a car works. Remember to look at the results from this year to get you excited for tomorrow’s AMA.
