We can get an early sneak peek at the new Kia Seltos thanks to some teaser photos. The new model will be released on December 10, 2025. Even though Kia hasn’t released many pictures of the subcompact SUV, it has boxier measurements and the brand’s signature lighting features. Kia says that the new Seltos is a mix of its electric and tough gas-powered SUVs. For example, the flush door handles are reminiscent of the rugged gas-powered SUVs. Popular small SUVs like the Mazda CX-30 and Chevrolet Trax compete with the Kia Seltos. It’s now behind those two stars, but Kia’s small SUV is about to start its second generation, which could make it more appealing. Kia has given us a few sneak peeks to get us excited for its official debut next week, but only time will tell. Even though the pictures only show parts of the car, the different views show how the new Seltos will change into a boxier version of its current self. We expect to get the car in 2027. It will still have body wrapping, but it will have some style cues from the company’s electric cars and sharper angles. For instance, the door handles on the new Seltos will be flush with the sides of the car. Kia also says there will be more paint choices for the new generation. The more sporty-looking GT-Line will be added to the range, which already has the popular X-Line. The refreshed Seltos will maintain its signature design, accentuated by Kia’s “Star Map” daytime running lights. These lights, like some of the brand’s other new models, combine horizontal and vertical elements. The Kia Seltos has two engine choices: a powerful 1.6-liter turbo four with 190 horsepower or a more standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 146 horsepower. The non-turbo and turbocharged models both have all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, also known as a CVT. The second generation’s powertrain choices aren’t known yet, but that should change when it’s unveiled worldwide on December 10.
