• Kia has released two teaser pictures and two teaser videos of the EV9 SUV coming out soon.
  • The pictures only show a silhouette in the shadows and how the front lighting is set up.
  • Even though the clips are only a few seconds long, they show much more of the SUV. There is a funny animation of the headlights coming on, and you can also see the taillights from behind.

Like every automaker, Kia is getting ready for a time when all cars will be electric. The next battery-powered car from Kia will be the EV9 electric SUV. The company has released two new teaser images and two new teaser videos before the model comes out later this month.

The pictures don’t tell us much, but they back up what we’ve learned from spy shots in the past. In one video, the headlights start-up funnily, with many small, pixelated lights coming on before the larger LEDs along the outside edge of the fascia. In the other video, the door handles are flat against the car’s body. This may be for aerodynamic reasons to increase the EV’s range.

Kia will reveal more about the car’s interior and exterior in the coming weeks. By the end of the month. The company should have all the details about how it will be made. Kia says that the EV9 will be able to drive 300 miles and will be able to charge quickly at 350 kW stations. The EV9 will use the same E-GMP platform as the EV6, even though it is unknown how many battery packs will be available.

A survey sent to current Telluride owners suggests that the details of the EV9 could be made public. Higher trims cost around $75,000, while the base model would start at around $56,000. Also, the EV9 will range between 220 and 290 miles, and the engine in the top trim will have 400 horsepower.
