• Maserati has introduced a new customization program, Officine Fuoriserie Maserati, which is available across its entire lineup.
  • The program consists of two distinct offerings: customizable “catalog” models and entirely tailor-made, one-of-a-kind bespoke vehicles.
  • Maserati initiated the program by unveiling a one-of-a-kind MC20 Cielo, named “Less is More…?” featuring a distinctive livery that seamlessly blends matte and glossy paint finishes.

He is the CEO of Maserati and says, “Bespoke is the history and future of luxury cars.” The Italian carmaker launched Officine Fuoriserie Maserati, a new personalization program, earlier today to give its customers more ways to make their cars unique.

Maserati Introduces The Officine Fuoriserie Customization Program

The program is divided into two groups. The first two collections, Fuoriserie Corsa and Fuoriserie Futura can be customized. This second category, created in collaboration with Maserati’s creative department, is all about individuality and lets customers build their own unique cars while they are being made.

Maserati says that the brand’s racing past influenced the Fuoriserie Corsa cars. Drawing ideas from Maserati race heroes, they use “color as a material” in their paint jobs. The company that makes the Corse models said that each livery is fully painted and doesn’t have any stickers on it. Maserati wants its spring/summer models to focus on “chromatic experimentation” and “material experimentation.” The ideas for the second series came from sportswear, product design, and interior design.

Maserati says that, unlike its Maranello competitors, it has no plans to turn down a customer’s creative ideas in order to protect the Maserati name when it comes to custom models. Instead, the group will work with clients at all stages of the planning process to create a one-of-a-kind model. As part of this plan, Maserati will give customers a wooden box with real pieces inside so they can see the range of colors and materials that are available.

There will be colors that can’t be found on any other car that customers who can afford them can choose from. The only thing the brand won’t do during the private process is work with customers on custom bodywork. However, Klaus Busse, Maserati’s head of design, has hinted that this might be possible in the future.

Maserati made the MC20 Cielo Less is More…? as a one-off to show that the new scheme would work. It has a unique paint job that blends a Blu Corse Matte base with a glossy livery of geometric patterns influenced by Bauhaus art. The forms are finished in white, blue, yellow, and red.
