• The McLaren Artura and 750S MCL38 Celebration Edition honor McLaren’s victory in the 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship, marking the team’s first triumph in this category since 1998.
  • Both supercars are adorned in striking Papaya Orange paint and feature exclusive badges both on the exterior and interior, including a plaque crafted from carbon fiber sourced from the MCL38 F1 race car.
  • A total of only nine units of each MCL38 Celebration Edition will be produced, symbolizing McLaren’s nine Constructors’ Championships since the company’s establishment in 1963.

Max Verstappen, a star driver for Red Bull, easily won the 2024 Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship. However, it was harder for Red Bull to win the Constructors’ Championship. Even though Verstappen’s partner Sergio Perez didn’t do very well, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri led McLaren to their first Constructors’ title since 1998. To celebrate the win, McLaren is putting out two special editions based on the Artura and the 750S.

McLaren Commemorates The 2024 F1 Championship With Exclusive Artura And 750s Special Editions

The MCL38 Celebration Edition cars have a special paint job that makes them look like Formula 1 racecars. Papaya Orange, the team’s color, is used on the back of the car, while anthracite, a dark color, is used on the front. The first half of the special edition’s name comes from the team’s 2024 car, which won six Grands Prix and eight pole positions last season.

The nine stars placed right below the front wheels represent six of McLaren’s Constructors’ Championships. The orange racing stripe over the hood has a “Champions’ Laurel” sign and a diagonal stripe pattern to resemble the livery of an F1 car. Papaya paint has also been used on the brake drums.

When the dramatic doors are opened, the carbon-fiber door sill cover on the driver’s side of the 750S or Artura has two signatures. They belong to Norris and Piastri. The Champions’ Laurel is back on the headrests of the seats inside the car. The 12 o’clock cross mark on the steering wheel can also be Papaya Orange.

A sign honoring the MCL38 race car is even more impressive. It features a real piece of carbon-fiber bodywork from the winning Formula One car. A second plaque in the storage area under the hood shows McLaren’s best lap times, pole positions, and race wins from the previous season.

McLaren will only make nine of each type of car because 2024 will be their ninth Constructors’ Championship win. The price of the MCL38 Celebration Edition is unknown, but because there are only a few of them, it is likely to be much more expensive than the base price of the supercars. The 2025 750S starts at $318,085, and the 2025 Artura starts at $254,100.
