Now, we have our first look at the production model of the 2026 Kia EV4, a Korean electric car. In addition to the sedan body style, Kia will also offer the EV4 in a wagon-like hatchback variant. Kia has not yet confirmed whether the EV4 will be available in America, but the company plans to provide more detailed information on February 27. Kia is not following the rules. Even though its new design language is different from that of other big automakers, the Korean brand is working hard to keep the sedan alive. You can still buy a new Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, or a number of other models, but in the US, the more famous SUV body style has slowly taken its place. We got our first look at the new 2026 Kia EV4 that is ready to go into production. If the company sells it here, it could help them go against the grain. Kia first showed the EV4 design at the 2023 EV Day event. This idea was also based on some of the brand’s older electric cars. For example, the slimline EV6 had a sloping roof with peaked fenders, and the three-row EV9 had vertical headlamps. Now that Kia has announced the EV4 models, it’s clear that the idea and real car aren’t that different. The back top slopes and the front fenders are still too big, even though the wheels are smaller and the side mirrors work. We also get our first look at the EV4 GT-Line version, which is the blue car below. There are rumors that it has more speed and unique 19-inch wheels than other trims. Also new from Kia is the EV4 hatchback (shown above), which looks like a wagon, which is another body style that is going away. Kia hasn’t said much about the EV4’s engine, but it will likely use the company’s well-known E-GMP platform, which is also used by Hyundai and Genesis electric cars. New models have power levels between 168 and 641 horsepower and either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. With batteries that can hold between 84.0 and 99.8 kWh, the EV4 can go more than 300 miles on a single charge. Kia’s yearly EV Day event is on February 27. At that event, we will learn more about the EV4’s design and features and the company’s plans for the future.
