• The Ram 1500 Rev will be the first electric pickup truck made by the company.
  • When it was first shown at CES 2023, the concept version of the truck was called the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV.
  • Ram says that more information about The Rev’s upcoming show will come out this Sunday, February 12.

The name of Ram’s first electric pickup, which will hit the market in 2019, has changed a lot. Ram 1500 Revolution BEV was the original name for the concept version, but the company has since changed it to Ram 1500 Rev.

The only exciting thing about today’s news, besides what we already know about the idea, is the name. Ram has said that more information will be released this Sunday, February 12, so the world won’t have to wait long for it.

Rev is probably an abbreviation for “revolution,” but it also sounds like a verb that describes how an engine turns. It could be a way to honor the past, when Ram trucks ran on gas, and the possible future when pickups could run entirely on electricity.

At least a few months will pass before the Ram 1500 Rev is released to the public. This year, the concept version was on display at the Chicago Auto Show so that we could get a good look at it. Not only is it more prominent in person than in pictures, but its open-air interior with third-row seats gives an exciting look at what the final product might look like and how it might work.

Even though the concept’s all-glass roof, coach doors, and lack of a B pillar are made up, the actual electric Ram is likely to have several cutting-edge features. We have to wait to find out what they are.
