The GMC Hummer EV SUV from 2024 is the most powerful thing you can get. It is big and heavy, just like the military vehicles named after, but it is also speedy and strong. The three electric motors in the Hummer SUV we drove put out 830 horsepower and 1200 pound-feet of torque. They should be able to get the four-ton monster to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. There’s more to the electric Hummer than just those numbers, though. GMC calls the SUV version of the Hummer EV pickup truck the SUT. It has some interesting differences and details that we’ll list below. Something Like This The Hummer EV SUVs side view differs from that of the pickup truck. This is something that can be seen by anyone who has eyes. Since the SUV’s wheelbase has shrunk by 8.9 inches to 126.7 inches, the difference in axle spacing is less noticeable. The SUV is about 10 inches shorter than the Hummer EV SUT and is slightly longer than 17 feet from bow to stern. Protecting Things Worth a Lot Unlike a pickup truck’s cargo bed, the Hummer EV SUV’s cargo area will only get wet if submerged in water, which is possible given that the vehicle likes to go off-roading. Even though the SUV is better at protecting its storage space and has a side-hinged rear door and a spare tire on the back, the SUT has more room for hauling. Turning Radius That Wasn’t Expected Even though the Hummer EV SUV is more significant, it can turn more precisely than the Chevy Bolt EUV, which is smaller. How, you ask? The Bolt can only hang with a radius of 38.3 feet, while the Hummer can turn with a radius of 35.4 feet if it has four-wheel steering. Drive off-road or on the road? GMC will sell the Hummer EV SUV with several accessories for both on-road and off-road use. The on-road version comes with these 22-inch rollers for people who want to spend more time on the road. They have Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires with the size LT305/55R-22. Brave people can get cameras for their underwear. For those who want the Hummer EV SUV with the off-road setup, a set of larger 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires mounted on 18-inch wheels will be available (known as the Extreme package). If you choose a vehicle whose suspension is likely to bend more often, the rear anti-roll bar is removed. Under-body cameras can help find dangers and obstacles that are hidden. Details about batteries The SUV’s battery pack is smaller than that of the Hummer EV pickup truck. It is estimated to have a range of at least 250 miles and a capacity of 177.3 kWh. There are several ways to fill up that pack. People say a DC fast-charger can add 100 miles in just 14 minutes. A Level 2 hookup, on the other hand, will take much longer and can be done at home. Prepare to join the queue. The Hummer EV SUV isn’t taking reservations right now, but when it does, the EV2 trim level will cost $86,645, the EV2X trim level will cost $96,645, and the EV3X trim level will cost $106,645. This is for the 2024 lineup. Customers who reserved a Hummer EV SUV before June 18, 2022 will be eligible for a price reduction of approximately $6,000 because they will be able to keep the agreement they made with GMC before the automaker announced price increases the previous year.
