• The truck in question is now $71,985 less expensive because of the new Tesla Cybertruck Long Range, which only has one engine.
  • The Long Range is said to achieve a range of 350 miles on a single charge, which is 25 more than the dual-motor all-wheel-drive Cybertruck.
  • The Long Range type does not have air suspension, ventilated front seats, or a screen for the back seat passenger.

People were furious when the Cybertruck claimed it could beat a Porsche 911 in a speed race while pulling one. Whether that claim is true or not, the car is very fast. The tri-motor version has 834 horsepower, and the dual-motor version has 600 horsepower. However, by making the Cybertruck Long Range, a basic version of the sharp pickup, Tesla is now cutting power.

Tesla Cybertruck Long Range Offers 350-Mile Range At $10,000 Less

You only need to know the name. Some sources say that the Long Range model can go 362 miles. That much, though, needs an extra $750 soft tonneau cover to be installed, which the owner has to pay for and buy separately. The Long Range can go 350 miles on a single charge without the cover. Even though the Beast can go up to 320 miles and is said to have a range of 325 miles for the all-wheel-drive model, it is better than earlier Cybertrucks.

The Cybertruck Long Range takes off the front motor to do this. The rear-wheel-drive, single-motor automobile accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 112 mph. It takes 3.6 seconds less than Tesla’s Beast to get to 60 mph but 2.4 seconds longer than the all-wheel-drive Cybertruck. In tests by Invoice Pricing, the AWD version lived up to that claim. It was also two-tenths faster than the Beast.

Less power means less ability to do things. For the Long Range model, Tesla says it can pull up to 7,500 pounds. For the dual- and tri-motor cars, the claim is up to 11,000. Cyber tricks from the past could rise up to 16 inches off the ground, but the Long Range can only go up 9.6 inches because it has coil springs instead of air support.

The Long Range comes with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires as standard. If you choose the optional 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires, the range is expected to be 19 miles shorter. The all-wheel-drive model can only go 124 miles in 15 minutes, but the electric model can go 147 miles in just 15 minutes. It can charge at up to 325 kW, similar to other Cybertrucks.

Tesla also made adjustments to the base model. For example, the Long Range version lost about one cubic foot of luggage space, and the 9.4-inch display for the passenger in the back seat. There are no power tonneau covers, the front cloth seats are heated but not cooled, and the sound system has gone from 15 speakers to 7.

You can buy the Cybertruck Long Range right now, but it won’t be available until June. It starts at $71,985, which is about $10,000 less than the model with all-wheel drive. The base Adventure model of the Cybertruck costs $71,700, which is about the same as the Rivian R1T. However, it is still more expensive than the Ford F-150 Lightning, which starts at $49,975 for the Pro work truck and $65,190 for the more expensive XLT gear.
