Acura has said how much horsepower the Integra Type S hot hatchback will have in 2024. The 2.0-liter inline-four turbocharged engine is the same as the one in the Honda Civic Type R, but it makes five more horsepower, for a total of 320 hp. In April, the Integra Type S will be shown for the first time at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Acura is sure it will keep the title if it gives the 2024 Integra Type S a few more horsepower than its sibling, the Civic Type R. The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine will have 310 lo-fi of torque and 320 hop, which is five hop more than the Honda. Now that we know when it will happen, we won’t have to wait long for its official debut at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 14–16. In a couple of new teaser shots, we can see how the Type S model’s bodywork has changed. When we could test drive this sped-up Integra as a prototype, we saw the Type S for the first time. It looks much meaner than the first model because its body is more comprehensive, its wheels and tires are more prominent, and it has a rear spoiler. Acura has released a teaser video that shows a short clip of the exhaust noise of the Type S. Like the Civic Type R, the Integra Type S will only have a six-speed manual transmission. There will also need to be a limited-slip differential. Since the Integra has an extra five horsepower, we must find out how fast it can go on the track. However, the Civic Type R could go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. But we can’t wait to put the new Integra through its paces and discover what it can do.
