The Polestar 4 will come out in 2025. It will be an electric SUV with a fastback and no back window. The Polestar 4 comes with both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. With an all-wheel purpose, the car should be able to go more than 300 miles. Polestar says the four will go on sale in the U.S. in the second half of 2024, with a starting price of $60,000. Polestar has a knack for making beautiful concept cars, like the six roadsters and the Precept (also called the Polestar 5), which looks like a sedan. Even though some of its designs are clearly out of the ordinary, the company seems fully committed to bringing its unique style to the public. Both of these beautiful designs are about to be made. Today at the Shanghai car show, the all-electric 2025 Polestar 4 is a strong example. Kiss the door behind you Goodbye The Precept idea is a big part of the design of the Polestar 4, which doesn’t have a back window. Instead, a camera on the roof that looks backward is linked to a digital rearview mirror. At the back of each design, a vast glass dome rises above the heads of the people sitting there. CEO Ingenlath of Polestar says the result is “a new kind of immersive rear occupant experience.” Our main worry is how the driver will react to the enormous blind spot. People who don’t use their side mirrors may find it difficult. Don’t get us wrong; the four looks excellent with its fastback top and short overhangs. Its split headlights and full-width taillights make it stand out, and its size puts it between the high-riding Polestar 3 SUV and the low-riding Polestar 2 hatchback. The Polestar 4 is 190.5 inches long and 60.8 inches tall, which puts it between hatchbacks and SUVs. It is built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture that Polestar’s parent company, Geely, made. The Polestar 5 will also work with it. A new evaluation of performance The Polestar 4 is the fastest car the company has ever made. Even though there aren’t many standards to compare it to, it’s thought that the 544-hp dual-motor all-wheel-drive version can reach 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. This is faster than the 2023 Polestar 2 Performance, which took 3.9 seconds to hit 60 mph. The company that makes the single-motor, rear-drive Polestar 4 with 272 hp doesn’t say how fast it should go, but it does say that it wants to have a range of more than 300 miles. Both types use the same battery, holding 94 kWh of power. There is no information about charging times yet, but a D.C. fast charger is said to be able to charge at a high rate of up to 200 kW. There is also a 22-kW charger on board. The Polestar 4 can charge other devices because it can charge in both directions. The Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 are different electric cars with similar features. The wheels on the Polestar 4 range from 20 to 22 inches in diameter, and there is a Performance package with enormous wheels, Brembo four-piston brakes, and unique frame tuning. The makeover also adds gold engine caps, seat belts, and brake calipers. Other choices include the Plus Pro pack, which has exterior pieces with different colors, interior parts that light up, and electrochromic glass that lets the standard panoramic roof’s transparency be changed. One of the newest Polestar cars Even though it was a controversial choice not to include a back window, the Polestar 4’s interior looks luxurious. The trunk should also be roomy, with a wheelbase of 118.1 inches and a considerable width of 84.2 inches. The back seats can be reclined, and the inner lighting is supposed to look like the sun. The front seats can be heated, cooled, and massaged. The innovative dashboard has a 15.4-inch tablet laid out horizontally and runs the Android Automotive O.S. and a wide range of Google-based apps. There is also a Harman Kardon music system with 12 speakers and 1410 watts. A head-up display shows the driver a 10.2-inch digital image of the car’s instruments. In snowy weather, the second one has a unique setting that makes the letters yellow instead of white. Polestar has a driver monitoring device that “only relays data and does not record video” in case privacy concerns arise. Also, the electric SUV can change lanes independently when told to by the Pilot package, which is an extra feature. Customers who are worried about how their E.V. will affect the environment can get a complete supply chain and lifetime study from Polestar. The new 4 model uses a lot of recycled materials. For example, the door panels are made with less plastic and are lighter. The knit upholstery is made from recycled polyester, and the floor rugs are made from old fishing nets. There is also something called Nappa leather, which is made from animals that have been treated well. Traveling to the U.S. in 2024 The 2025 Polestar 4 will come out first in China. It will be made at a factory owned by Geely in Hangzhou Bay, China, starting in November. The four types should be in American driveways by the end of that year. More information about the North American versions will be available in 2024. Polestar says that costs will start at $60,000, which is about $25,000 less than what the following three SUVs begin at. A company spokesman said Polestar 4s would be offered in all markets without back windows. Even though we think it was a risk, we can’t return now.
