There is no longer a limited-edition Launch Edition that costs $61,630. The 2025 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD has a starting price of $50,630. The new Long Range is the only Model Y trim with the $8000 Full Self-Driving (Supervised) option. Because the new Model Y, codenamed Juniper, has bigger 20-inch wheels, its range drops from 327 miles to 303 miles. Tesla finally showed off the long-awaited makeover for the Model Y last week, and you can now buy it in the US. In the US, Tesla’s customer website now has the updated Model Y, which has been given the code name Juniper. The only model currently available for order is the Launch Series, a limited-edition car starting at $61,630. Introducing the Model Y Juniper Model Y Prices to Drop Later as Launch Series Includes Dual-Motor AWD and Long Range Battery by Default. Tesla’s renamed Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system and a feature called “Acceleration Boost ” are part of the Launch Series. Special edition stickers on the door sills, puddle lamps, and rear liftgate let you know what kind of car it is. Tesla says the electric small SUV can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and have a top speed of 125 mph, but the company hasn’t said how much power the Model Y Launch Series has. If you put on bigger 20-inch wheels instead of the usual 19-inch ones, the EPA says the range drops to 303 miles. The inside of the Model Y Launch Series can be all black or black and white with two different shades. The front seats are heated and cooled, and the center tablet is 15.4 inches. The rear seat display measures 8.0 inches. In addition to the new front-facing unit, there is also an extra camera on the outside and a 15-speaker sound system, making a total of eight. The Juniper, similar to the newly redesigned Tesla Model 3, has received numerous software updates for communication, soundproofing, and suspension. Options and Pricing for Model Y Juniper The Launch Series starts at $61,630 and comes with the usual features we already talked about. You can get the bigger wheels for free, and you can paint them in one of four colors, including Ultra Red. The tow hitch, which comes with the normal towing package and lets the Model Y pull up to 3,500 pounds, works the same way. When it comes to supply, Tesla hasn’t said how many Launch Series cars it plans to make yet. We expect a performance model with rear-wheel drive, but we’ll have to wait and see if more cheap cars are added. Right now, these can be bought with the old Model Y, which can still be bought on Tesla’s website.
