The 2026 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster receives numerous enhancements similar to those introduced in the 2025 Coupe, notably gaining an additional 128 horsepower. The folding soft-top roof, which reportedly adds a mere 132 pounds to the vehicle’s weight, can be deployed in just 6.8 seconds while traveling at speeds of up to 31 mph. The first supplies are scheduled for the second quarter of this year. Aston Martin revamped the Vantage Coupe last year, adding 128 horsepower, a more prominent front end, and a modern cabin with a huge touchscreen to its junior sports car. The Vantage Roadster will be available for sale in the second quarter of 2025 and is receiving the same updates from the British car company. Lowering the Roof Aston Martin made sure that adding the foldable soft top to the 2026 Vantage Roadster did not add too much weight or affect its structure. This way, the Vantage remains light and nimble in both versions. The Vantage has a strong but lightweight aluminum body, which is important for achieving these goals. Aston Martin also changed the back part of the car to make it more stable when turning. Aston Martin says the roof’s “Z-fold” form is lighter and simpler to fold down than the usual “K-fold” style. It also removes the need for a tonneau cover when the top is stored, which makes it lighter and gives it a sleeker look. Aston Martin says this is the fastest roof system available right now. It can raise or lower the roof at speeds of up to 31 mph in just 6.8 seconds. The driver can use the key to control the roof from about 6.5 feet away from the car. Aston Martin says that eight layers of insulation keep the inside noise levels similar to those of the Coupe when its roof is up. The entire roof system is only 132 pounds heavier than the Coupe. Aston Martin highlights the strong yet lightweight rollover hoops located behind the seats. Beneath the Surface Larger turbos and new camshaft designs have boosted the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 to 656 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, making it similar to the Coupe. Power still goes to the back wheels through an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Aston Martin says the Roadster will reach its top speed of 202 mph in 3.5 seconds, which is just a little slower than the car by one-tenth of a second. The Roadster will stop just as well as the Coupe because it has strong carbon-ceramic brakes with 16.1-inch discs in the front and six-piston calipers. The rear dampers and engine mountings have also been modified to handle the extra weight. The Vantage Roadster, like the Coupe, has different traction control options that let drivers adjust the car according to their preferences and skill levels. It also includes Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires. The Vantage Roadster now comes in three new paint colors: Bronze Flare, Satin Iridescent Sapphire, and Iridescent Sapphire. You can choose the roof color from black, red, blue, or a black-and-silver mix. You can choose from seven colors to paint the brake calipers, and there are four different styles for 21-inch wheels. Customers can use the Q by Aston Martin service to personalize their car even more, just like they did with earlier models. We don’t know the price yet, but we expect it to rise like the Coupe did, which went from $146,986 for the 2023 model to $194,086 for the 2025 model. The 2023 Roadster starts at $158,186, but costs will likely go over $200,000.
