The 2026 Aston Martin Vantage S Is Built For Impressive Performance, Featuring An Engine That Delivers 670 Horsepower

Aston Martin has brought back the Vantage S! It had four fewer pistons and one fewer pedal the last time it came to our doorstep. Even though it has fewer cylinders than its predecessor, the reborn Vantage S is significantly more intense and offers significantly more power.

The 2026 Vantage S boasts 14 more horsepower than the base model, producing 670 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. Even though the S has more horsepower, it still has the same highest torque of 590 lb-ft as the original Vantage.   The long front hood of the car conceals an AMG 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine that powers only the rear wheels.

Aston Martin claims that the Vantage S will accelerate to 60 mph several tenths of a second quicker than the standard Vantage, thanks to its increased power and an updated launch control system. They estimate the Vantage S can reach 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. However, during our tests, the 2025 Vantage managed 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, suggesting the new Vantage S will be even quicker.

Things are going to change even more. Aston Martin engineers tuned the pedal’s weight and responsiveness to deliver the driving experience they believe a “S” model should provide. New suspension gear is included, along with softer mounting points for the transmission and a revised chassis that enhances the driving experience. If you adjust the camber, toe, and caster settings, the front end should become sharper and more responsive when subjected to strong horizontal loads. The rubber bushings previously used have been replaced with straight connections between the rear subframe and the body.

There are also some changes to the graphics.  The Vantage S’s hood features a newly redesigned set of carbon-fiber blades designed to improve engine cooling. At the back of the car, a full-width decklid spoiler has been added, which is not typically found on a regular car. As the model’s final mark, hand-made “S” plates are also attached to the front fenders.

The new Vantage S will make its public debut next week at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Aston Martin states that sales will commence in the fourth quarter of this year, and you can already place an order.
