The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL is an extended version of the already massive Escalade IQ, serving as the electric counterpart to the gasoline-powered Escalade ESV. The IQL has six more cubic feet of space behind the second row of seats, and the third seat has 4.4 inches more headroom. The Escalade IQL is an electric SUV that costs $132,695. It has a different C-pillar shape and a more upright rear end. Since the gas-powered Escalade SUV already has a long-wheelbase version called the Escalade ESV, it makes sense for Cadillac to be making an Escalade IQL, which we first learned about at the Chicago car show last year. The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL, a bigger version of the current huge electric full-size luxury SUV, has now been shown off in all its glory. A larger box provides additional space. From nose to tail, the Escalade IQL is 4.2 inches longer than its sibling, making it look a bit smaller but clearly bigger. The IQL, on the other hand, has a different back end, with a more upright triangle C-pillar and window trim that curves downwards. That’s not all—the D-pillar is now more vertical, and there’s a full window between the two rearmost walls instead of the big panel that blocks the back of the regular IQ. In the third row, the longer body adds 4.4 inches of space, 1 inch of headroom, and almost another full inch of shoulder room. Also, people in the second row have a little more space for their legs and heads. The IQL has a third row that can seat up to seven people and folds down flat with the power of a button. Seventy-five cubic feet of stuff can fit inside when the third row is folded down. That’s six cubic feet more than the regular Escalade IQ. The load capacity only goes up by about one cubic foot when the third row is used. Of course, Escalade IQL owners can use the trunk’s 12 cubes of storage space. Like the smaller Escalade IQ, the rest of the cabin has a huge 55-inch computer that takes up the whole dashboard. You can get an upgraded 38-speaker AKG sound system if the basic 21-speaker one isn’t enough for you. For people who can never have enough speakers, the Executive Second Row pack comes with 42 beautiful speakers. This option is also offered on the IQ and comes with two wireless charging pads, two tray tables that can be folded up, and a 12.6-inch screen for each second-row seat. The package also includes speakers in the headrests and 14-way power-adjustable back seats that can be heated, cooled, and massaged. Identical Ferocious Powertrain The electric beast is said to be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds thanks to its insane 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque from two electric motors. It has the same engine as the regular Escalade IQ. Cadillac says the IQL has a 460-mile range and uses the same 205.0-kWh battery as the IQ, even though it is longer. Cadillac also says that the IQL can add 116 miles to its range in just ten minutes when it is attached to a DC fast charger. The regular Escalade IQ can pull 7500 pounds, but the IQL can only pull 7500 pounds. GM’s hands-free driving assistance technology, Super Cruise, is standard on all trim levels. The IQL can charge in both directions and send power back to a person’s home when connected to the GM Energy V2H Bundle. Cadillac says that the Escalade IQL will start being made in the middle of this year. You can choose from four trim levels: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. It costs about $3K more than the Escalade IQ, which starts at $132,695. It will be made at the same Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly, which is also known as “Factory Zero,” which makes the regular Escalade IQ.
