• There are different trim levels and choices for the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV, and the new Trail Boss is one of them.
  • The base Work Truck costs $55,000, the LT costs $62,995 (down from $75,195), and the Trail Boss costs $72,000.
  • There are a lot of unique style elements on the Silverado EV Trail Boss, such as a red-painted front bumper, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and more.

The Chevrolet Silverado is part of a growing family of electric pickup trucks. The Trail Boss, which is designed for off-road use, was first shown off more than three years ago and will be ready in 2026. Chevy now gives customers more choices for their full-size electric truck along with the new style. These choices include more battery types.

The 2026 Chevy Silverado EV Starts At About $55k And Has An Extra $72k+ For The Trail Boss

This year, the base Silverado EV Work Truck is priced at $54,895, making it $2,200 cheaper than last year.  That’s for the Standard battery, which the EPA says can go 286 miles. If you pick the Extended or Max pack, which are bigger, your range predictions go up to 424 or 493 miles. The biggest pack for the WT starts at $76,295 (down from $77,795), and the middle-sized pack for the Work Truck starts at $68,295 (down from $69,495).

The mid-level LT used to cost more and be better than the WT, but now it’s cheaper. It costs $62,995 to buy the base form of the 2026 Silverado EV LT, which is $9,200 less than the 2016 model. One big reason for the savings is that it can now come with a smaller Standard battery, which, according to the EPA, gives it a range of about 283 miles. What about power? The LT has between 605 and 760 horsepower, depending on the battery, and each WT has 510 horsepower. The Extended battery model has a starting price of $71,195, while the Max battery version begins at $91,295. The EPA and GM say that the LT Extended and LT Max can go 410 and 478 miles on a single charge, respectively.

In 2026, the Silverado EV will be available in three additional paint colors: Magnus Gray Matte Metallic, Polar White Tricoat, and White Sands. Chevrolet said that Google Maps can now be used with the Super Cruise feature in the truck without using your hands. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping help have also been made more useful. Also, the company has said that the RST trim will no longer be offered in the Silverado EV lineup. It gives up some sportiness to be better off-road, but the long-awaited Trail Boss fills that gap.

The Silverado EV has finally received the off-road-ready Trail Boss, although its arrival was delayed longer than expected. The TB’s 35-inch all-terrain tires and 2-inch lift don’t seem to change its estimated range, which is a surprise.  Although the Trail Boss with the Extended battery features more rugged tires, it shares the same EPA-estimated range as the LT, 410 miles. The Max pack has a GM range of 478 miles.

The Trail Boss package comes with red front tow hooks and 18-inch wheels that look like beadlocks. The front bumper is carefully made with a 31.6-degree approach angle to help it get over things. It also has an exit angle of 25.1 degrees, a breakover angle of 19.2 degrees, and a ground clearance of 10 inches.  But how much does the Trail Boss cost?  It costs about the same as an LT with equal features; it starts at $72,095 with the Extended battery.  If you choose the bigger battery, the TB’s starting price goes up to $88,695.

The $7500 federal tax credit is still available, which means that people who qualify can lower the price of their new Silverado EV. In the next few months, Chevrolet stores should start getting 2026 cars.
