The 2026 Ford Mustang EcoBoost will get a new RTR package. The upgrade includes Dark Horse suspension parts, Brembo brakes from the Mustang GT Performance Pack, and adjustments to the car’s tuning. Ford has not yet announced the cost of the RTR package. It is only available on the four-cylinder car. It’s easy to say bad things about any Ford Mustang that doesn’t have a cool V8 engine. Ford, on the other hand, has worked with Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR tuning company to make a performance-focused package that not only makes the four-cylinder car look better but probably makes drivers want to compete for the title of Drift King. After being hinted at earlier this year, the 2026 Ford Mustang RTR has been officially unveiled. Based on the EcoBoost car, its 2.3-liter inline-four turbocharged engine makes 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Ford says that the engine utilizes anti-lag technology from the GT race car, ensuring the turbo is always ready to deliver maximum boost when you’re pushing hard. A 10-speed automatic transmission is the only one available for purchase. For its active exhaust system, each RTR Mustang also comes with pipes that have four tips. People who like to push the pony to its limits can opt for the V-8 Mustang GT’s Brembo brakes, which feature four-piston rear units and six-piston front calipers. Many of the chassis parts for the Mustang Dark Horse were sourced from it, including the rear subframe and the front and rear anti-roll bars. In Track mode, the RTR’s stability control is set differently, and the steering gear moves farther. These changes, along with the optionally improved adaptive dampers, are meant to make it easier to drift the Mustang. A standard hand-operated electronic e-brake is a great way to start a sideways joke. The “nostrils” of the RTR Stang light up, but the rest of its face is the same as the GT form. In the bottom area, an “RTR” symbol has been added, and the grille logo has been made darker. Graphics on the hood, back quarter panels, and rocker panels are some other exterior features that make it stand out. You can paint the brake calipers behind the 19-inch wheels, which have a 30 mm offset, in black or Hyper Lime. The Hyper Lime paint comes with the body stickers and gives them their bright color. The Hyper Lime accents inside the RTR Mustang that is supplied make it stand out from the rest. The bright color can be found on the handbrake handle, the center console, and the seatbelts. Customers can choose not to use neon trim, but green stitching is used to make the seats and other surfaces stand out. No matter what you choose, the numbered dashboard plaque, lit sill plates, and immersive RTR animation that plays on the screens when you open the door or start the engine will still work. Ford hasn’t announced the cost of the RTR package yet. In 2026, the base EcoBoost car costs $34,315; the RTR-required High package costs an additional $ 2,195. The Premium version has more features and costs $38,340. If it costs less than $45,000, the Mustang RTR might be a great deal, considering its exceptional performance. Before the summer of next year, we’ll find out.
