The 2026 Honda Prelude Already Has A Stylish Body Kit Made By Mugen

The sixth-generation Honda Prelude is a fast hatchback that looks like a coupe. It features a four-cylinder engine and two electric motors from the Civic Hybrid, which combine to produce 200 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque. The sleek and beautiful new Prelude goes well with its quiet and fuel-efficient engine. But Japanese tuner Mugen has already given Honda’s newest two-door a mean new look, so don’t worry if you want the Prelude to stand out.

The most noticeable change is the new set of 19-inch forged aluminum wheels that were made in collaboration with BBS. They are made in Diamond Black and have thin arms that go out from the crown in the middle. Mugen states that each wheel weighs approximately 8.8 pounds less than a standard wheel, bringing the total weight savings to nearly 35 pounds.

The Prelude’s body has also been changed to include a front lip with fins that stick up right in front of the front wheels. Similar parts can be found on both side edges. The bumper at the back has been modified to include a diffuser and a pipe for the new sports exhaust system, making it easier to see. A small spoiler is also positioned just above the full-width headlights. The new mirror caps on the outside with several fins on top make the body kit look even more like carbon fiber.

Mugen states that the body kit is currently in production and will be available for sale in 2026; the price will be announced at a later date. The wheels and mirror caps will be among the parts that can be bought separately.

Mugen provides performance enhancements for the Prelude, such as upgraded brake pads and a high-performance oil filter. Mugen says there is also a pair of “performance dampers” that seem to be attached to the body at the front and back to take away “unpleasant vibrations and noise” and make the car more stable. The interior can also include floor mats, a trunk suitcase mat, and sill plates adorned with the Mugen logo and a blue stripe.
