The 2026 Kia EV9 becomes the latest model to join Kia’s Nightfall Edition lineup, introducing the distinctive visual package to the three-row electric vehicle for the first time. The Nightfall Edition is built on the EV9’s Land AWD standard and features a new paint color, Roadrider Brown, and several gloss-black parts. The Nightfall Edition comes with a boost feature that raises the torque from 443 to 516 pound-feet. The 2026 Kia EV9, Seltos, Sportage, and Telluride can all be ordered with Kia’s Nightfall Edition right now. The Nightfall Edition EV9 is mostly a visual package, but it does have a boost function that is usually hidden behind a separate paywall. The Land AWD trim is what the EV9 Nightfall is based on. When it comes to changes to the way it looks, the EV9 Nightfall Edition uses the same rules as earlier versions of the package. It has unique dark Kia logos and 20-inch gloss-black metal wheels made just for it. Glazed-in gloss-black parts can be found on the front grille, skid plates, roof rails, side mirrors, and lower door sills. You can also get the outside in the rare Roadrider Brown color. The Nightfall Edition has a striking black-on-black design and color scheme on the seats, and the headliner is also black. You usually have to pay extra for the torque-boost feature of the Land AWD model that the Nightfall Edition is based on, but the Nightfall comes with it for free. Using the temporary boost mode, the EV9 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. This is possible because the torque goes from 443 to 516 pound-feet. Based on our tests, the 2026 EV9 will use the same North American charge Standard port as the rest of the lineup. This made charge times longer for the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which shares the same platform. This year, Kia thinks that the Nightfall Edition will go on sale in the second quarter.
