Subaru has officially revealed that its new mid-size electric SUV, the 2026 Trailseeker, will start at $41,445. The Trailseeker will come in three trim levels: Premium, Limited, and Touring. Brand fans should know this. Subaru said that all three Trailseeker trim levels will have a 375-hp dual-motor electric drivetrain, all-wheel drive, and a 280-mile range. Subaru announced earlier this year that the Trailseeker, a mid-size electric SUV, would join the Solterra as part of a second effort to expand its electric vehicle lineup. The Trailseeker is based on its smaller sister, so it is a good choice for eco-friendly families who need more room for their quiet off-road adventures. During its first model year, the Trailseeker will be offered in a range of trims that Subaru fans will recognize. It has three trim levels—Premium, Limited, and Touring—and starts at $41,445. All Trailseekers, regardless of trim level, have all-wheel drive, a 375-hp dual-motor electric motor, and a range of about 280 miles, according to the maker. The $41,445 Trailseeker Premium is the list’s most important model and offers many basic features. Standard features include a 14-inch touchscreen for infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, a motorized liftgate, two wireless phone chargers, fake leather upholstery, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and a lot of safety and driver-assistance tech that comes standard on all Subarus. The Trailseeker Limited is $45,455 if you choose a better trim level. For an extra $4010, the mid-tier model has a better Harman/Kardon sound system, a wide-view rear mirror, heated seats in back, a digital key, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, bigger 20-inch wheels, and two 120-volt outlets in the back cargo area so you can plug in a few things while you’re off the grid. The high-end Trailseeker Touring, which costs $48,005, adds more comfort to the lineup. Along with the features found on lower-priced models, the Touring model has cooled front seats, a panoramic glass roof with a motorized shade, and a gloss-black hood decal. Also, “radiant leg warmers”—whatever those are—have been placed in the driver’s and passenger’s chairs. For an extra $795, customers can get the Touring-specific two-tone exterior paint and blue and black leather upholstery. Subaru says that the Trailseeker will be in stores in early 2026.
