By adding a new type, Subaru is increasing the number of electric cars it sells. It’s a small crossover built on the new Toyota C-HR. It will come out in 2026. It comes after the updated Solterra and the brand-new, top-of-the-line Trailseeker were shown off earlier this year. It doesn’t fit into the “pointless commuter” category that many EVs do, because it offers two battery-powered motor choices, ample space for five people, and a long driving range.

The rough-looking electric brothers in Uncharted changed the style of the game in a big way. The headlights are hidden under a face that lacks a grille and features a thin band connecting the Subaru logo to both DRL housings. The EV’s main design feature is its wheels, which can be changed from 18 to 20 inches. The ride height is approximately the same as that of the brand’s other wagons and cars. The most interesting aspect of the Uncharted is definitely its rear, with its long taillight that resembles the modern Porsche Cayenne and features a complex mix of metal and plastic surfaces. Subaru hasn’t provided the exact difference in length compared to the Solterra, but reports indicate it is approximately seven inches shorter.

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted Makes Another Toyota EV Last Longer

The Uncharted’s exterior and interior are both smaller versions of the Solterra. The cabin design mirrors the styling found in other models within Subaru’s electric vehicle lineup. The Japanese automaker states that the area behind the second row offers more than 25 cubic feet of cargo space. That’s five cubic feet more than the Crosstrek that only runs on gasoline. However, I like how the driving wheel is designed in a way that makes it look futuristic. The 14-inch navigation screen has become a standard feature over the past few years, despite its large size. As someone who has worked on Lexus models, I find this plan to be useful. These two charging pads have no drawbacks. Don’t fight about the cool charger with your partner or your teen child.

Let’s move on to the most important facts. There will be two types of Uncharted: one with front-wheel drive, one with all-wheel drive, and two with two motors. Initially, there will be three models: GT, Sport, and Premium FWD. A 74.7-kWh high-capacity lithium-ion battery will power all cars, but their range and horsepower may be different. X-Mode  In the two better trim levels, Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive will make 338 horsepower. The Premium FWD, on the other hand, will make 221 horsepower and have an “estimated range of more than 300 miles.” The news statement says that the instruments should be able to reach “up to 290 miles.”

The Uncharted can charge at 150 kW and features a NACS adapter built in. Subaru claims its pre-conditioning technology can charge it from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes, even when the outside temperature is cold.
