The 2026 Bentley Bentayga Speed doesn’t feature the hybrid technology found in the Continental GT Speed. Instead, it has a 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine that makes 641 horsepower. This high-end SUV features a V-8 engine that produces 627 pound-feet of torque. Bentley says the Speed can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds. The big SUV can throw its tail for controlled slides with the new ESC Dynamic option on the Bentayga Speed. After a two-year break, the Bentley Bentayga Speed is back. But the fastest version of the British car company’s SUV doesn’t have the 771-hp hybrid motor found in the latest Continental GT Speed and Flying Spur Speed. Instead, it has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine that makes 641 horsepower. A unique feature of the last Bentayga Speed was its W-12 engines, which added style but added weight. But Bentley stopped making the W-12 when they made the limited-edition Batur. That’s why the new Speed features a V-8 engine from the Bentayga, which is 15 horsepower stronger than the W12. However, the V-8 produces 627 pound-feet of power, while the W-12 generates 664 pound-feet. The fastest Speed is 193 mph, but Bentley says the Bentayga Speed can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds, which is five-tenths faster than the previous Speed model. The new ESC Dynamic mode on the 2026 Bentayga Speed enables the car to slide. This setting reduces the effectiveness of the stability control system, enabling the Bentayga to slide more freely. With torque vectoring, the turn-in is quicker, so you can put more force on the corner exit to finish a slide. Bentley states that the updated Sport mode, featuring ESC Dynamic, enhances driving responsiveness and increases the suspension’s stiffness by 15%. You must choose the extra carbon-ceramic brakes to access ESC Dynamic. The ESC Dynamic option also features a Launch Control tool, which is exclusive to the Bentayga. The 2026 Bentayga Speed also features rear-wheel steering, which moves the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front wheels to shorten the turning circle. This makes the SUV feel more maneuverable at low speeds. The rear wheels steer in the same manner as the front wheels, allowing the vehicle to remain more stable at high speeds. Bentley also added a brand-new sports exhaust system. It gives the engine a “rich, powerful note. This new design is easy to spot because it features two oval tailpipes that protrude from the rear trunk. The Akrapovič titanium exhaust, featuring four tailpipes, is an optional upgrade available to customers. The Bentayga Speed is distinguished by a metal Speed badge on the front fenders, complemented by darker exterior trim, dark-tinted headlights, and gray-colored taillights. If you opt for carbon-ceramic brakes, you can choose from 23-inch wheels in black, gray satin, or a combination of black and dazzling machined finishes. The Speed’s standard 22-inch wheels are available in silver or dark finishes. Customers have the option to select a black roof with either a gloss or smooth finish. Additionally, both the carbon-ceramic and standard brake systems are offered in a choice of seven different colors. The Bentayga Speed features a Speed emblem on the dashboard and door sills, a Speed-specific display in the instrument panel, and an embroidered Speed badge on the seats. A new quilted pattern, called “Precision Diamond,” is featured on the seats and door panels, and the chrome brightwork can be finished in a dark tone. Bentley hasn’t announced the price of the new 2026 model yet, but based on the cost of the 2023 Bentayga Speed, we estimate it will be around $280,000. Bentley announced that the high-performance SUV will be available for the 2026 model year. Orders will begin to be filled around the end of this year. That’s all Bentley said about when the Bentayga Speed would be for sale.
