The intriguing Alfa Romeo Tonal Edition Bambini prioritizes toddlers. Tonal provides car accessories for parents. Tonal Edition Bambini features a diaper-changing station, an in-car baby monitor, and several new storage options. Parenting is said to be complicated. The Alfa Romeo Edition Bambini concept, which has yet to begin shipping its upcoming Tonal subcompact SUV, is designed to make parenting while driving less stressful. The Alfa Romeo Tonal Edition Bambini is a mouthful. As you might expect, Bambini means “baby” in Alfa’s native Italian. The name makes sense once you understand the concept. Alfa’s one-off Ton ale is for exhausted parents who want a luxury car but can’t clean it. To accommodate parenting responsibilities, the Bambini’s trunk has been completely redesigned. Storage organizer’s are positioned in front of the in-car vacuum, which is kept in the box. The standard trunk cover is replaced by a baby-changing station that slides in and out as needed and bears the Alfa Romeo logo. Nothing says “elegance” like a tiny poop stain from an awful day. To combat childhood boredom, organizer slots were added to the back of the front driver’s and passenger’s seats. Alfa added tablet holders to the front seat backs to entertain kids. To reduce backseat fighting, each child in the middle seat has a leather folder that can hold a tablet and a reward chart. Alfa polled 2000 parents in the UK with children aged zero to eleven to find out how frequently their children kick the back of the front seats. The Bambini design team added protective panels to maintain style while combating this. A water bottle, bento box, tablet holder, and chart to encourage kids to clean the car are now stored behind the front seats. Is keeping a clean car with young children the most difficult challenge for parents today? Will a bento box keep young children from spilling more Cheerios than they can eat? Although we doubt it, Alfa deserves credit for attempting to find a solution.
