• The 2025 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has been named the top model in the lineup. It has 771 horsepower.
  • The powerful plug-in hybrid car starts at $228,495 and has a bigger 21.8-kWh battery for longer all-electric driving.
  • Prices for the 2025 Porsche Panamera GTS begin at $156,195. It has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine that makes 493 horsepower, 20 more than the previous model.

This week, Porsche revealed that its top-of-the-line Panamera lapped the famous Nurburgring racetrack in 7:24.17 minutes, which is about six seconds faster than its predecessor. The official name of the 2025 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has been announced, along with the fact that its plug-in hybrid V-8 engine has a bigger battery and a powerful 771 horsepower.

Peak Panamera is the Turbo S E-Hybrid

The latest version of the Panamera with the most power has a better 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine. Instead of a twin-scroll turbo, it has a single-scroll turbo, which Porsche says makes higher average peak pressure. The gas engine now makes 591 horsepower, and an electric motor built into the transmission makes 187 ponies. The combined power of the Turbo S E-Hybrid is 771 horsepower, which is 81 horsepower, more than the last model. Also, the maximum force has grown from 96 pound-feet to 737 pound-feet. The automatic gearbox in the sedan now has eight speeds and two clutches. The PDK is better now because it has “optimized power-transmitting surfaces and a higher thermal load capacity,” as Porsche puts it.

Obviously, making changes to the Panamera’s engine makes it run faster. Porsche says that the new Turbo S E-Hybrid can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and reach 202 mph. The new estimate is two-tenths faster and has a top speed that is eight miles per hour faster than the old estimate. It works better because the hybrid system has a high-voltage battery that can hold 45% more power and charge more quickly. The battery has a current net capacity of 21.8 kWh, but the EPA hasn’t said how far it can be used on electricity alone. The whole thing will be about thirty miles. The E-Hybrid’s regenerative braking system can now get back up to 88 kW, up from 69 kW.

Porsche’s Active Ride suspension can be added to any hybrid Panamera. It has cylinders that are linked mechanically and air springs with only one chamber. The Turbo S E-Hybrid engine is part of this setup, along with rear-axle steering and carbon-ceramic brakes. This one has brake calipers that are either yellow or acid green, and the front and rear wheels are 17.3 inches and 16.1 inches, respectively. The extra Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which come in sizes 275/35ZR-21 for the front and 325/30ZR-21 for the rear, can be used to improve the sedan’s tires.

The Turbo S E-Hybrid looks a lot like the other cars in the newly redesigned Panamera range. It features a distinctive back bumper and exhaust tips made of bronze. Front “airplanes,” side skirts, and a carbon-fiber diffuser in the back are all part of a carbon-fiber Aerokit. A Gurney flap and an active back spoiler are also on it, along with a front lip spoiler. Porsche says that the changes to the car’s aerodynamics add 132 pounds of downforce at 124 mph. The inside of the home can be changed in every way. The driver can see gauges and other information on both the 10.9-inch tablet and the 12.6-inch curved display. The person in the front seat could also use a tablet of the same size.

The brand-new Panamera meets the GTS

The Porsche GTS is a classic. After a break, the Panamera GTS will be back for the 2024 model year. It now has a better 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine with 493 horsepower, up from 473 horsepower before. Porsche says the new GTS can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, which is tenths of a second faster than the old car. It can go as fast as 188 mph. A basic sports exhaust lets you hear the GTS’s V-8 engine, and the car also has an adjustable air suspension with a specially tuned setup. The anti-roll bars are stronger, the spring rates are lower, and the ride height is 0.4 inches lower than on a regular Panamera.

The 2025 Panamera GTS can be told apart from its siblings by the black emblems on the car. There are also small style details on the front. The full-width taillights and matrix LED headlights finish off the sleek look. As part of the Sport package, every GTS has a basic black body trim. The screens and buttons in the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and the cabin are the same. The GTS also comes with two unique interior packages, one in Slate Grey Neo and the other in Carmine Red.

Porsche says that orders for the GTS and Turbo S E-Hybrid can be made right away, and the first cars should be delivered in the first quarter of 2019. About $20,000 more than the last Panamera GTS, the 2025 Panamera GTS starts at $156,195. Also, the 25 Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid starts at $228,495—that’s about $20,000 more than before. But the second one is now going around the Ring much faster.
