Lucid has already released a software update for its brand-new Gravity SUV. This update adds a new feature called “trailer light check” that helps drivers make sure their trailer lights are working properly. The range map and energy usage graph for Gravity have also been changed to make them easier to read. Lucid is also giving Gravity users beta versions of its Live View and Drive Recorder apps, which let people record moments while driving and check on their SUVs from their phones. A California-based company called Lucid Motors just started making its second car, an SUV called the Gravity. They have been selling their sleek electric Air car since the 2022 model year. Initially, only workers were able to obtain the electric three-row, but over the past few months, it has begun to reach customers as well. Lucid is currently releasing a few small improvements, such as new software for its new SUV. It’s now running UX 3.3, which has made the user experience better and added new features that make towing easier. The Gravity has a built-in hitch camera view and an integrated trailer brake control that works with electronic brake trailers. This allows the driver to keep an eye on the hitch while in motion. It can also pull up to 6,000 pounds with its tow gear. With Lucid’s new trailer light check feature, which lets trailer lights glow one after the other, it’s now easier to make sure that all of the lights are working. You can also use the Lucid phone app to turn on the function. Lucid has also improved Gravity’s user interface by adding a new bookmark tile to the home screen. This tile lets drivers save a location, making it quick and easy to get where they want to go. The range map has been changed to more accurately show how far you can go on a single charge. The energy use graph in Gravity’s Energy app now has more ways to be shown. Lucid also says that the audio system has been changed to make calls sharper by cutting down on background noise. This means that the other person can hear you. Gravity owners also get two extra features for the Halo Secure feature, which lets them keep an eye on their car through an app. The Drive Recorder feature saves video clips of important events, and the Live View feature sends live video to the phone app through the SUV’s exterior cameras if the driver has a USB storage device connected. Lucid says that drivers can tell the Drive Recorder what other events they want to record, while crashes are recorded automatically. Lucid says that later this year, you will only be able to use the Live View feature with a contract. Both features are currently being tested in beta.
