As the fourth year of its generation starts, the Mercedes-Benz GLA class gets a slight makeover. The most recent version of MBUX is now running on two 10.3-inch screens. Also, the more powerful 2024 GLA35 gets a new look and more features as standard. Mercedes-Benz is preparing for spring 2024 by making minor changes to the GLA-class SUV. The luxurious subcompact will get new drivetrains, technology, and a little facelift. The new headlights and taillights are the first part of the new look. The front bumper and grille have also been changed. The outside look changes are finished with three new optional wheel styles and a new Spectral Blue Metallic paint cooler. The 10.3-inch screens that used to be part of the Premium Package are now standard. The latest MBUX software powers the infotainment system. Mercedes has added a second USB-C port for charging, and Apple Carley and Android Auto can now be used without wires. The GLA class only has two interior coolers: black and macchiato beige. The more expensive AMG35, on the other hand, has four. All packages that were once extras, like Highbie Assist, Parking, Mirror, and Keyless Go, are now standard. The new GLA-price class still needs to have the extra content. Modern Hybrid Energy The 2024 GLA-class is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 221 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It can move only the front wheels or all four. The new 48-volt hybrid system and belt-driven starter-generator in the new GLA give it more agility. (The 2021 GLA250 4Matic with all-wheel drive went from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.) The updates for the Mercedes-AMG GLA35, which has more power, are mostly the same as those for the base model. The 48-volt hybrid system is also in the AMG. The dual screens use the latest MBUX software, and the headlights and taillights have been redesigned similarly. The Mercedes-Benz badge on the GLA35’s hood has been changed to a Mercedes-AMG badge to help people distinguish between the two models. The GLA35 can also be bought with AMG Performance Steering. Compared to the regular Mercedes-Benz GLA250, the GLA35 comes with several performance features as standard, such as all-wheel drive and a tuned and improved suspension. Mercedes has eliminated the 382 horsepower GLA45, leaving only the 302 horsepower AMG GLA35.
