For most 2026 Ram cars, the Company is extending its powertrain warranty to 100,000 miles, which is equivalent to 10 years. The longer guarantee also covers the 2026 Ram 1500 series, which runs on gasoline, as well as heavy-duty trucks and ProMaster vans sold in the US. Ram offers a powertrain warranty that lasts for five years or 60,000 miles for gasoline vehicles, and five years or 100,000 miles for diesel vehicles. Rams fans have had a lot of good news lately. The truck company announced earlier this month that the well-known Hemi V-8 would be returning. Ram has officially said that the limited guarantee on the powertrains of most of its 2026 models will be extended. With 10 years or 100,000 miles, Ram will have the best engine warranty of all full-size trucks. Coverage for gas-powered cars is now limited to five years or 60,000 miles, the same as for Ford and GM competition. The five-year diesel engine warranty on Ram trucks covers up to 100,000 miles, the same as most heavy-duty truck warranties. Ram says that the increased warranty will cover more models, including the chassis-cab 3500, 4500, and 5500, as well as the ProMaster vans. The warranty also applies to half-ton and heavy-duty trucks. However, it does not extend to all-electric models like the Ram ProMaster EV. It does include coverage for the heavy-duty Power Wagon and the off-road-capable Ram 1500 Rebel Off-Road (RHO). Ram’s new limited powertrain warranty includes coverage for all axles, driveshafts, engines, transmissions, and transfer cases. Also, buying or leasing a new car is protected, but buying a fleet of cars is not.
