The Lamborghini Invencible coupe and the Auténtica roadster have the same 769-hp, 6.5-liter V-12 engine in the Aventador Ultimate. Before adding hybrid power to its naturally aspirated V-12 engine, the company sends out cars like the Invencible and the Auténtica. The carbon-fiber bodywork on these special editions makes them stand out, and the car has a lot of hexagonal design cues and is very aerodynamic. When the last Aventador Ultimate left the factory last year, it looked like the Aventador line, which started in 2011, was over. Lamborghini made the Invencible coupe and Auténtica roadster as a farewell to its naturally aspirated V-12 platform, even though a new hybrid replacement is coming soon. Like most Lamborghini special editions from the last ten years, the Invencible and Auténtica are based on the carbon-fiber monocoque of the Aventador and have the same 6.5-liter V-12 engine mounted longitudinally in the middle. This monster engine is the same as the one in the Aventador Ultimate. It sends 769 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels through the same seven-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission. The Invencible and the Auténtica have rear-wheel steering like the last Aventadors. These two one-of-a-kind Lamborghinis are different from “normal” because their bodies are made of carbon fiber. Reports say that the design looks like a few limited-edition Lamborghini supercars. The Veneno and Reventón inspired extreme aerodynamics. The sculpted hood is a nod to the Essenza SCV12, which was only used on the track, and the engine cover is a nod to the lightweight Sesto Elemento. Their aero devices make it easy to tell them apart. The Invencible coupe has a rear wing with swan-neck mounts. The roofless Auténtica, on the other hand, has two fins that stick out of the back, making it look like the Lamborghini Sián from 2020. The hexagonal shapes on the engine cover, three-piece tail lights, rear wing struts, and central triple exhaust show how much Lamborghini loves hexagons. The center console has been changed, and there is no touchscreen. However, each car has its graphics on the digital gauge cluster. The center console, the doors, and the air vents are all made of carbon fiber. The Invincible coupe stands out with its Rosso Efesto paint job, red brake calipers, and red accents inside. The Italian flag is shaped like a hexagon on the scissor doors of the Invincible. The matte black and yellow accents on the Grigio Titans’ bodywork are similar to the Giallo Auge brakes and interior stitching of the Auténtica roadster. The Invencible coupe and Auténtica roadster look great. Still, they are built on old chassis, and Lamborghini’s strategy of making changes to the Aventador platform repeatedly is no longer working. Lamborghini says the replacement for the hybrid Aventador will be shown in the next few weeks. We’re excited to see what Lamborghini’s new focus brings, but you can expect another ten years of high-end, limited-production cars that live in climate-controlled garages.
