To make the 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer more appealing to buyers, the front end has been redesigned, and the range has been updated. Jeep is going to release a plug-in hybrid Grand Wagoneer next year. All of their cars are now called Grand Wagoneers, rather than Wagoneers. Next month, Jeep’s big three-row SUV will go on sale. The base model will cost $64,740, and the most expensive model will exceed $95,000. One of the most significant changes Jeep is making to its largest SUV is giving the entire line a new name. The brand’s full-size three-row SUV was previously known as the Wagoneer and later as the Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer was promoted as the more expensive model. Jeep says that the use of trim names like Series I, Series II, and Series III made things more confusing for its customers. Before the 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, versions purposely didn’t have these badges, but that changed when the more famous Wagoneer was added and Jeep branding was finally used. Even though everyone has their own taste in fashion, we don’t think anyone would argue with us if we said the Grand Wagoneer wasn’t beautiful before it got a makeover. The updated cars look better with their new front ends, but they won’t win first place in a beauty fair. Jeep claims that it installed new headlights that are larger than the old ones, making the vehicle’s overall appearance more square. Additionally, they utilize full-width LED parts, and the headlights are treated in the same manner. The Grand Wagoneer’s seven signature slots are illuminated, just like those of the electric Wagoneer S, and the grille has been redesigned to be thinner. As was already said, Jeep logos are now clearly visible on the front and back of the SUV. Because Jeep chose materials that are better for the environment over standard molding, there will be no chrome on the outside of the car. Chrome isn’t as cool as cargo shorts, but that doesn’t bother us. Just as before, the Grand Wagoneer is available in two wheelbase styles. The “L” models have a bigger frame. Initially, there will be only one engine choice, but customers will be able to select between four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. All ’26 Grand Wagoneers will have the well-known Hurricane turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine as standard. This engine has 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque. The higher-output model (540 horsepower, 521 pound-feet) is being put on hold because Jeep wants to develop a range-extended EV version, which is officially classified as a series plug-in hybrid. The Ram 1500 REV, formerly known as the Ramcharger, will feature the same engine as the Grand Wagoneer “REEV” when it debuts early next year. The name is only temporary until Jeep comes up with a better one, which is good news. A gas-fed Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine, which also functions as a generator, powers its two electric motors, delivering approximately 647 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. The promise is that the huge SUV will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. Jeep also says that you can drive more than 500 miles on a full tank of gas. With the gas engine built in, you’ll never have to worry about the 92-kWh battery running out of power. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer plug-in hybrid is said to have a range of approximately 150 miles on electric power alone. Jeep believed that the interior didn’t require any major changes. Instead, it now comes in a wider range of colors and new materials, such as Dark Waxed Walnut, a genuine open-pore hardwood. That is only offered on the most expensive trim level, Summit Reserve. That trim level also comes with a 23-speaker McIntosh sound system, ventilated rear seats, and a touchscreen for the front passenger. The Limited trim level features a 19-speaker McIntosh radio, a panoramic sunroof, power-operated side steps, and a head-up display. Jeep claims that this one is also superior to its predecessors because it features a significantly wider field of view and a substantially greater virtual picture distance. The bigger a car is, the more it costs. Some of the most expensive new cars on the market are full-size SUVs, such as the Grand Wagoneer. This is something that Jeep is aware of, and the company has stated that it wants the new full-size model to be priced more competitively compared to its rivals. With a base price of $64,740, the 2026 Grand Wagoneer falls between the Ford Expedition and the Chevrolet Tahoe. Someone who wants to buy a three-row, four-wheel-drive Jeep will have to pay at least $67,740. You can also get the Limited Altitude and Summit Obsidian, which are more powerful. They start at $73,735 and $95,985, respectively. All trims of the Grand Wagoneer come with a longer wheelbase, but the L models incur an additional $ 3,000 cost. Jeep states that later this year, the 2026 Grand Wagoneer vehicles powered by Hurricane will begin production at its Warren, Michigan assembly site. Although there is no set production date yet, the plug-in hybrid models will be produced alongside the gas-powered models.
