With A Neon-Wrapped EV Hatch, Kia Gets Ready For The 2026 Launch Of The EV4 GT

Kia and its corporate sister, Hyundai, have recently done a great job of making a lineup of appealing electric cars. A big part of the market is filled by Kia’s Niro, EV6, and EV9. Kia is working on a faster version of its EV, the EV4, but it hasn’t been released in the US yet.

In the glimpse, the EV4 GT is wrapped in a bright material that makes the delicate design hard to see. Kia says that the “GT foil” pattern on the wrap is meant to show the “emotionality” of its high-performance GT cars. Kia says the wrap, which is a type of digital camouflage with bright green and black highlights that change, is about motion blur. Also, it’s worth noting that the teaser shows the EV4 only on this side of the Pacific, even though the EV4 GT model is supposed to come to the US.

The Korean car company has already done something cautiously in the speed EV market. The brand’s most popular model right now is the hot EV6 GT, which has an amazing 641 horsepower. Soon, the high-performance GT version of the EV9 SUV will be available, with 501 horsepower. We don’t know much about the EV4 GT’s specs, but the car will perform better than the EV6.

As the EV4 GT gets closer to going on sale, we expect Kia to provide more information about its features, including how its improved speed affects its range. At this point, the whole reveal is set for 2026.
