2025 Land Rover Range Rover Overview

What’s new:

  • There are no significant shifts that I am looking forward to.
  • A part of the fifth-generation Range Rover that will come out in 2022.

The Land Rover Range Rover is one of the best SUVs you can buy because it has a lot of power, style, and grace. You can rest easy knowing that the price is high. The Range Rover was redesigned by Land Rover for 2022, and the engine lineup was changed. This means that we expect the 2025 model year to remain the same. Most clients shouldn’t have any problems with this because it looks great and can be changed in many ways.

The Range Rover’s design is amazing, but the British SUV’s interior is even better. Two rows of seats in the back of the SUV have plenty of space and legroom, and the automatic lowering suspension makes getting in and out easy. The Range Rover has big windows that make it easy to see, and it’s not hard to find a relaxed driving position. This is on top of the high-quality materials, like expensive leather, that are used inside the Range Rover.

Think about getting the Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS if you want an ultra-luxurious SUV. The base price is high, but if you plan to add a lot of options, this should not be a problem. Even though it’s not as stylish and high-end as a Range Rover, the BMW X7 is just as roomy and starts much cheaper.

Pros

  • It was a very nice ride.
  • There are a lot of ways to customize the inside and outside.
  • The seats in the front are very soft.
  • Having a royal aura while driving.

Cons

  • It’s hard to find and use some touchscreen settings.
  • The third seat needs to be bigger for such a big, pricey SUV.
  • When you turn a corner, it feels heavy and loose.

How do you drive a Range Rover? We tested the Range Rover SE with the P400 engine, the long length, and the third-row seats. It’s a big SUV that weighs more than 6,000 pounds. It took the SUV only 6.1 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph in our tests. Even so, it has a smooth, enjoyable ride and likes to be driven slowly. The smooth gear changes are the best thing about it.

If you want to take your Range Rover off-road, it has a lot of useful features, such as two locking differentials, five terrain driving modes (including Wade for crossing rivers), and a huge maximum ground clearance of more than 11 inches. Due to its fragile chassis, it needs to be clarified if it can handle serious off-roading, but this SUV’s features are hard to beat at any price.

Handling and driving are also problems. In this case, the Range Rover’s comfort-oriented tune makes the steering feel slow, and the body lean is obvious when turning corners. Some luxury SUVs with three rows of seats can stop from 60 mph in less time, but the brakes are strong. All-wheel steering is standard, which means that when the car turns slowly, the back wheels move in the opposite direction of the front wheels. It comes in handy, especially when you’re parking.

How comfortable is the Range Rover? The Range Rover’s usual air suspension is what makes it stand out. It’s nice that it can make the ride easy on any road. The wheels on our test car were 23 inches, which is usually bad for comfort and ride quality because they need low-profile tires. But the suspension got rid of almost all signs that the ground was uneven.

The available 24-way power-adjustable front seats are also very good, and all three rows are built to last and have soft padding to keep passengers comfortable. The Range Rover could be more comfortable, though, as its temperature control doesn’t work well. Even though the airtight cabin kept outside noise to a minimum, we did hear some creaks and rattles that we hadn’t heard in other high-end models.

How is the state of the inside? The inside of the Range Rover SE is beautiful. It is easy to get in and out because the doors are big, there are steps, and the suspension lowers itself. That’s interesting. The first two rows are roomy enough for adults, but the third row needs to be bigger. The Range Rover’s large windows are another trait that makes it easier to see and cuts down on blind spots. We were interested because it has a great drive position that is easy to change.

Range Rover fans won’t find anything new in this list of cons. The buttons, controls, and directions on the touchscreen are hard to find and use. Sometimes, it needs to be clarified what they’re for right away; sometimes, they’re buried in a bunch of menu options, and sometimes, you have to try them twice or three times before they work. A well-known illness that can bring down an otherwise happy mood.

What’s wrong with the tech? The most important problem we found with technology is voice controls; they do not need to be most orders. The Range Rover system is great at managing addresses, but it could be better at managing places of interest. It has less natural language functionality than many of its competitors.

The technology from other places is amazing. It comes with maps and easy directions with voice prompts. You can also connect wirelessly to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. One more benefit is the advanced driver aid package, which has a smooth adaptive cruise control system. It’s especially impressive how well the Range Rover uses lane-centering steering, which is often annoying in current cars.

What’s going on with storage? A Range Rover with three rows of seats, like the one we tested, has a limited amount of cargo room. It has about 8.7 cubic feet of room behind the wheels, which is about half of what a Mercedes-Benz GLS has and a lot less than what an extended-wheelbase Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator has, both of which are much bigger than the Range Rover. It does have more room than the GLS, though, when the third row is folded down, so we’ll let it go.

It can pull up to 7,716 pounds, which means it’s strong enough to pull most boats and trucks. With a V8 engine, the Range Rover can carry up to 8,200 pounds. Inside, there’s just enough room for your things; nothing is too big or too small compared to other places. Anchors are easy to find and use, which makes it easy for parents of young children to put car seats in.

How much fuel does it use? The conventional mild hybrid powertrain in this big, heavy car is very helpful. The Range Rover SE got 21.3 mpg on our 115-mile test drive, which is the same as its combined EPA figure of 21 mpg. In the real world, this is the return. If you drive mostly on city streets, though, this amount may go down. It gets surprisingly good gas mileage for an SUV this size.

Is a Range Rover really worth that much? The Range Rover is expensive compared to its flashy and impressive features, such as its amazing air suspension and lots of off-road gear. For rich buyers, that looks like a good deal, but the price might turn off pickier buyers. The car has a lot of style, exclusivity, and luxury, but we were happier with the plastics inside and how it kept creaking when we drove. The drivetrain safety from Land Rover is about average for its class, and the basic warranty lasts for four years or 50,000 miles. Still, this is normal for big, expensive SUVs on the market.

Even though it’s not fun to drive a Range Rover, the car has a lot of personality. Its smooth, angular shape looks like a glacier-shaped it, and as you get closer, the normal air suspension drops the car a lot. There are only so many cars like this one that can get praise and attention right away. Take our advice and go at night, when the lighting makes the already luxurious experience even more beautiful.

Land Rover hasn’t said anything public about the 2025 Range Rover yet as of this writing. We’ll change our suggestions if anything changes, but the Range Rover from last year says that the base SE model has a lot of high-end features. The Meridian sound system, automatic parking, heated and cooled front and back seats, air suspension, and a panoramic sunroof are all standard features. SE owners can customize their Range Rover without having to buy a more expensive grade, thanks to stand-alone choices.

Range Rovers made by Land Rover

There are two general styles of the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover: standard-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB). Both can fit five people, but the Range Rover LWB has an extra row of seats and more space in the back. You can choose from three trim levels: SE, Autobiography, and SV.
