The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning will come in a particular version called Platinum Black. It has a black matte finish, unique logos, and black trim pieces. It looks like something dark. Starting in early 2024, you can buy the Lightning Platinum Black for $99,990. Ford doesn’t offer many styling choices for the F-150 Lightning pickup, but in 2024, a new special edition will be added to make a strong statement. The Platinum Black package gives the car memorable logos, wheels, lights, and features inside. The electric truck is black all the way through. The 2024 F-150 Lightning Platinum Black will be offered in 2,000 units. Deliveries begin in 2024. It starts at $99,990, much more than the 2023 Lightning Platinum, which starts at $93,290. This price is based on the top Platinum trim. For the extra money, you get a gloss-black roof with graphics in the panoramic sunroof, 22-inch black wheels with matte-black lug nuts, black badging, a soft tonneau cover, and a matte-black body. There is also a “smoked” light bar and black logos outside. The Platinum Black has black Nirvana leather seats and a plate with the special-edition series number in the door opening. There is also a sign in the trunk. Ford is giving a guarantee on the vinyl wrap alone from 3M for three years and 36,000 miles. The bottom of the truck is painted Agate Black. The Extended Range battery pack and the 580-hp dual-motor engine are standard on the Platinum Black and all F-150 Lightnings with the Platinum trim level. Ford says the range will be the same as the regular Platinum, 300 miles. All F-150 Lightnings from the model year 2024 will come with the better BlueCruise 1.2 hands-free driver-assistance technology and an automatic locking feature that works when you leave the truck with the key in your pocket. Now, the optional ProPower onboard generator turns on when the vehicle is opened, so you don’t have to start the truck by hand before you can connect devices. Ford says that buyers of the 2022 and 2023 Lightning will be able to get these improvements as software updates.
