Luckily, the M8 Gran Coupe and M8 Convertible with four doors will be available for a while, but the M8 Coupe is no longer in style. All M8 cars are built to meet competition standards and have a 4.4-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine that makes 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic gearbox powers an all-wheel-drive system that is biased toward the back wheels.

We tested a 2020 M8 Competition and found that it went from 0 to 60 mph in about 2.5 seconds. We were surprised by how quickly the M8 Coupe could move. Along with its amazing straight-line speed, the M8 amazed us with its incredible grip and agility for a car that weighs 4,251 pounds.

The M8 Coupe and Gran Coupe both began at $140,975 last year, but the convertible cost an extra $10,000. Invoice Pricing has called BMW to get official word on what will happen with the M8 Coupe. We’ll let you know what’s going on with this once we hear back from you.
