The new 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT43 car joins the AMG GT55 and GT63, which are more expensive and have more power. The GT43 is equipped with a 416-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is paired with a rear-wheel-drive system. Starting at $107,050, the ’25 AMG GT43 car costs about $32,000 to $73,000 less than the more powerful models. The Mercedes-AMG news stream is currently flowing at full force. Details about the second-generation AMG GT car are being released constantly. The newest model was released in the fall of 2018. Yesterday, costs were released for the 2024 AMG GT55 and GT53 models. Mercedes has also shown off the 2025 AMG GT43 car. Introducing the AMG GT43 In terms of power, the new base GT43 car is better than the more expensive models. The GT43’s 48-volt hybrid system provides 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque from its 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The Mercedes-AMG C43 sports sedan, which we drove and hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, is very similar to this turbo four. The GT43 coupe may be a little more powerful, but Mercedes still says it can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds. C43 models, offering 402 horsepower, come with standard all-wheel drive, whereas GT43 coupes are only available with rear-wheel drive. The GT43 isn’t as fast or powerful as the other AMG coupes, but its rear-wheel drive (RWD) design may make it more enjoyable to drive. In the GT55 and GT63 types, the Mercedes twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine makes 469 and 577 horsepower, respectively. Mercedes says the GT63 can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in three seconds. Aerodynamic Innovation Even though it’s the best in the group, the GT43 has some performance-boosting tricks up its (figurative) sleeve. The front fascia has a secret louver system that opens when cooling is needed and closes when not needed to reduce drag. Depending on the road conditions, the movable spoiler at the back of the car moves up and down. Mercedes says the wing can be moved to five different positions above 50 mph to lower drag or make the car easier to control. The US will get the 2024 AMG GT55 and GT63 coupes this spring, but the GT43 will have to wait a little longer. The new entry-level coupe will have its pricing revealed closer to the launch date. It will finally be on the market as a model in 2025. In 2024, the more powerful AMG GT coupes will have their prices go up a lot, so we think the GT43 will start at a price well over $100,000.
