Both the Volvo XC60 and its plug-in hybrid brother, the XC60 Hybrid, have been changed for the 2026 model year. Both models feature the same redesigned front ends, with the grille reflecting the updated styling of the larger XC90 SUV. The interior features a larger touchscreen, which Volvo claims is more than twice as fast as the previous system. Volvo’s XC60 small luxury SUV line gets a makeover after a conservative model year in 2025 with no changes. Both gas-powered and plug-in hybrid cars have had changes made to their outside looks and their inside technologies. Small changes to the outside of the XC60 have made it look more like Volvo’s top XC90, which was updated last year. The front grille now has the same vertical pattern that makes the Volvo Iron Mark logo stand out. The Scandinavian business just darkened the tail light shroud, which makes it even harder to see what changes were made to the back of the SUV. The new look is finished off with three paint colors—Forest Lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red—and new wheel choices. It’s not a surprise that the changes to the inside are similar to those made to the XC90 last year. The new 11.2-inch tablet, which takes the place of the XC60’s old 9.0-inch screen, is the most important feature. Volvo says that there are 21% more pixels on the new screen than on the old one. The new gear is not as important as the better software. The new Snapdragon Cockpit software from Qualcomm is said to be more than twice as fast as the old version and runs on the XC60. In the end, the touchscreen should be more sensitive. North America isn’t on the list of places where you can now buy the updated XC60. We’ll have to wait a little longer for price and availability in the U.S. because Volvo told Invoice Pricing that the reveal was for the whole world. If the XC90 is any indication, we don’t think the XC60 or XC60 Hybrid will change prices from their starting prices of $48,345 and $59,345, respectively.
