I’m a straightforward person. I’m interested in trucks. I love trucks that were custom-built by people with ideas who took a regular car and made it into something amazing. That perfectly describes this 2012 Ram 1500 with a Hellcat swap. It’s on the market right now. The factory-built TRX might be better off-road, but this one is a great sleeper that lets people in on the secret. The truck is for sale in Pasadena, Texas, for $50,000. That’s not cheap, but a brand-new Hellcat truck costs about half of that, so I’ll call it a win. This is a really great deal, especially considering how much work went into making this engine have more power than what the factory offered. This street machine has upgraded upper and lower blower pulleys, ARH long tube headers, a custom-spec camshaft, a Modern Muscle Xtreme dual fuel hat, and what sounds like a Forced Inductions Interchiller to keep the intake air very cold. It also has a tune that lets it run on E85 fuel. Even though there are no dyno numbers given, this Ram has more horsepower at the tires than the Hellcat did when it was stock. That guess is supported by the truck’s three-piece wheels all over and the big Hoosier QTP road-legal tires wrapped around the back wheels. A custom two-piece driveshaft, Inez rear control arm brackets, an adjustable track bar, and other important suspension parts like dial-in shocks, Core 4×4 upper and lower control arms, and a lowering kit that lowers the front four inches and the rear two inches are also under there. It even has better Wilwood 15-inch brakes. The seller says that Texas House of Hemi did all the work on the engine and that it was expertly put together. That gives people who are really ready to spend $50,000 on a project that is still someone else’s peace of mind. It makes a strong case for itself if it works as well as the Facebook Marketplace listing says it does. It would be hard to build one of these for less money, and it’s a big daddy Laramie Longhorn model with nice leather. What could be more convincing?
