HOW DO THEY?

The Mercedes-Benz “baby G-Wagen” resembles a G-Class. It’s smaller, less powerful, and likely cheaper. It will probably be electric instead of the G-Wagen’s V-8 engine. Even though Mercedes-Benz hasn’t confirmed this mini-G’s inclusion, we assume it will. Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Kallenius likes the notion.

Is it meaningful?

The baby G-Women’s boxy, classic appearance would be lovely, but it probably would look different from the G-class. Off-road newbies and those who desire a G would buy a mini-G because it would look like the showy G-Wagen but cost less.

We wonder if this boxy off-roader will be as good as the Jeep Wrangler or Ford Bronco. This tiny G may suit the Jeep Compass and Ford Bronco Sport. The off-road SUV industry is eager for new goods like the more extensive, all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQG (see below), regardless of group.

Engine and body:

As mentioned, the infant G-Wagen would be shorter and lower. Small and medium-sized EVs use the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA). It would be an 800-volt BEV. It could travel 300 miles. The SUV will have the MMA-based Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). The motor and battery are unknown.

Estimated price and sales start:

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, smaller than the G 550 SUV and AMG G 63, will cost between $55,000 and $65,000. A compact G-class from Mercedes-Benz may be successful.
